Andor Bix Caleen

The Alliance had Safeworlds, often with basic provisions or farming gear... per the RA Sourcebook.
Not exactly childcare, but it's a step toward that.

Bix's situation reminded me of a safeworld, to a little degree.

 

Yes, I am being ambiguous. I'm not meaning it's evidence, either way, of who Cassian is thinking of in his final moment. When RO came out it was evidently Jyn but now we have other possibilities.

I think it could now be open to lots of interpretation.

My view is that he may actually be thinking of everyone he's lost - it doesn't need to be a specific person. It could be any and all of the relationships we had seen leading to that point. There is no more sacrifice that he can give, and he allows himself a final moment if tenderness - a reminder of the life he fought for, and the loss of the life he (and indeed others) could have had.

1000% a Bix sequel should start immediately after ANH. Cassian's death brings her back to the Rebellion, and we get an Andor-style look at the overall Rebellion and state of the galaxy now that everything has been changed by Scarif and Yavin. This would be a very tumultuous time period where the status quo has been quickly upended, and Bix's eyes would be great ones to watch it through (plus Mon's and others').

Bix is pregnant with Schroedinger's Baby. She will remain simultaneously pregnant and not pregnant, until such time as a storyline is written that requires the question to be resolved one way or the other.

The only issue might be Leia as she is always with Mon when they have their Rebellion meetings. As seen in comics.

No confirmation of pregnancy or anything, but in general Bix living yet walking away of her own accord from the rebellion because of her relationship with Cassian was definitely not what I was expecting, especially not with her storyline last week.

Who said Bix walked away from the rebellion? She said she chooses the rebellion over a relationship with Cassian outside the rebellion. So she left Cassian, not the rebellion.

 

I still think it may be implied she is force sensitive to a certain (low) degree
In Rox road she tells Cassian “Marva was here” when Maarva was dead, she seems to know things or dream about things. After the force healer encounter she tells Cassian (when speaking about the force healer saying he is a messenger and a vessel) “ I had dreams like this” implying she is dreaming of him achieving a higher purpose or something? I think she saw what was going to happen if he stepped away and understood he was such a key in the rebellion she could not interfere

 

I call it: Ahsoka season two Jacen and chopper have new friends, Ezra asks Jacen how they are called and Jacen answers „These are my friend Maarva and her droid B2EMO!“

Given the context of the rest of the speech, "choosing the rebellion" is about leaving so that she can't tempt Cassian into choosing her over the rebellion. And it isn't like she was doing anything with the rebellion herself at Yavin base that we can see. I suppose it is possible she went to join up with some distant rebel cell to help out, but that doesn't strike me as particularly likely.

Though this chain did start with me being wrong about Bix leaving rather than dying, so my estimates of likelyness doesn't mean much. ;p

She left Cassian, not the rebellion. She took a rebel transport off of Yavin, presumably to another part of the galaxy where the rebellion is operating. It's a massive galaxy and a growing rebellion. She leaves Cassian to make sure he stays committed to the fight. But there's nothing I saw that indicated she herself is quitting the fight. To the contrary.

Yeah, I got the feeling she was going to join another Rebel cell somewhere. Maybe we’ll see her on Dantooine. If we see Dantooine that is. I really want to see Dantooine!

 

It's been abandoned for some time a year later. I want to see it too, but I don't think this is it.
