Well, if we're counting Protestant denominations, they're splitting apart all the time

 

The only reason I even know about the orthodox schism is because I know way to much about Ukraine. And also my grandmother was telling me about it. Which is funny cause she was one of the few Ukrainians who were apart of the Ukrainian Catholic Church. Which is an Orthodox Church that rejoined the Catholic Church in communion around the end of the 1500s. But I digress

 

True, I guess it depends on how the at least colloquial "Macro-Denominations" are understood which would be Oriental Orthodoxy, Eastern Orthodoxy, Catholicism and Protestantism. If the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople and Russian Orthodox Church still both technically fall under the banner of Eastern Orthodoxy at the end of the day, then maybe Dandy's revolution is back on. I'll leave that up to him.

 

Yes. There has probably been five this year. But you know when people think Schism they’ll think 1054 (I think that’s right or the reformation or even the 2018 orthodox schism much before they will church XYZ with 500 people left the loose confederation of Protestants

You know I do find it incredibly funny that us talking about religious schisms goes much better than us talking about politics. Honestly I always considered religion a much more taboo topic than politics. But then I think that’s just the household I grew up in. Where’s half the family was die hard atheists (especially my uncle) and the rest of us were Christian but not in to it enough to argue so we never talked about it.

where’s politically we all fell on the same side of the isle except my dad and my grandpa, but my dad eventually flipped and my grandpa eventually died.

 

Hey, that's not fair! I'm Protestant and last year we only flogged one midwife but that was after a lengthy trial where she kept floating in water, and also she had a pet cat which is a smoking gun for practicing witchcraft.

Like I said, I'm not 100% sure I loved the way Bail was written and his quests, but besides that I agree. Very good book. I wish more of the Disney canon was like it.

sorry bout the radio silence i got kinda busy but i have returned

 

Today I visited a natural park, the Torcal de Antequerra, a natural limestone formation atop a mountain. Millions of years have carved the rocks into a unique landscape. I’m not going to post much commentary, as it’s mostly just cool rock formations

My whole school was buzzing about the Pope, I haven't seen the Catholics generate this kind of insanity in the States in a long time lol

that's..until of course the Pope dies and they elect another European, then it will be the usual "Catholic church...nothing but misogynistic child molesters, we don't want that kind here..." stuff, you've heard nothing else from people the last 20 years.

 

I bet a solid 20% of Americans want a monarchy lol.

 

they definitely picked a pope with dual nationality to America and Peru on purpose. Also the dude hasn’t lived in America in 40 years. Some people are acting like he’s never left America in his life. Most are jokes of course but some are just spouting random stuff and obviously doing very little research

like I heard two separate people claim his parents were from Peru and then moved to Illinois and then he moved back. If I recall his parents were of Spanish and Creole descent

like I know I get things wrong sometimes. It the amount of lies of just misconceptions about the pope is enormous. I have to assume some people are just getting it wrong and others are intentionally doing so.

okay just double checked and I was right. Americans put far too much into where someone is from. Well not even them but their grandparents. Or even great grandparents
