The sequel series following Cassian and Bix's child will be called Andor Jr.

Only if Disney removes the from its plus streaming app and I don’t think they will fold

I have the original uncut non special edition of the classic Star Wars trilogy still on dvd.

I believe the future is there even a blind man can see, Andor has given the clearest indication how you make a SW series that draws in old fans and new. The time period of leading up to ANH is done now, maybe a second series of OWK but the story of the beginnings of the Rebellion is covered. Now is the time to move onto what happens after the medal ceremony on Yavin, we know the Rebels disperse, different groups hide out all over the galaxy...

It's all there, the blueprint to where LFL takes the story, follow one of those groups that are desperately trying to evade an Imperial fleet of Stardestroyers. All it really needs is to create characters the audience believes in, wants to see what happens next for them and ultimately roots for them at every turn.

There's much more of a likelihood that the quality of future SW TV shows will be much more in line with Ahsoka, Kenobi, TBOBF, Skeleton Crew, Acolyte and Mando rather than Andor. That is for sure.

Pretty much, the truth is that we actually see very little of the actual Rebellion during ESB and ROTJ, its really more of a backdrop for the heroes stories.

I actually think an interesting direction to go besides covering the Rebels(and maybe a few characters from Andor? Kleya especially I think they could do more with) it would actually be interesting to see the story of Imperial defectors. Andor I think you could argue is the story of those who take up arms against rising fascism and those who go along with it, perhaps the story of those who reject it when its nature is made clear would be interesting to see?

Both Kleya and Vel are characters who could be followed and again with Mon in the background. Seeing as they're not being strict on canon, what is to stop Kleya searching for new allies like the Sullustans or Vel searching for a new secret base and comes across Hoth?

The next live action series after Ahsoka season 2 will likely get us to our 100th episode of live action Star Wars TV.

    Pretty incredible.

I don't really think Star Wars fans are so interested on following the rebellion stories. Andor has good quality, but it doesn't seem to have good numbers.

When Disney Is happy about initial numbers in its shows, they tends to announce the numbers for first five days or week (they did for The Acolyte). However, they haven't announced the first week numbers for Andor season 2.

The only failure is the trap. Otherwise, the intel of Palpatine’s and the Death Star’s presence over Endor, as well as the location of the Death Star’s shield on the moon, is solid and ultimately fatal for the Empire. So the only thing they fail to pick up on is the trap.

That said, I’m more interested in the period between ANH and ESB. And during. All kinds of stuff can be happening at the same time as those movies.
    And Andor Jr

I'd agree those two have a nice potential arc from frenemies to allies. I actually think you could do a good Kleya spy show set during the OT which had lots of flashbacks to her and Luthen either pre Andor as we got in episode 10 or during the "gaps", events which either echo the drama of the show or perhaps directly lead into its plot?

That she comes to the fore at the very end of the plot arguably being the lead character in the last 3 episodes does maybe suggest that might be being considered? I do think dramatically her character seems the one from Andor with the most unresolved drama around her.

Thought I'd go all the way back to see what the original post was. Turns out its 13 years old now.

We're now 6 years removed from the ST and we're yet to see a TV show set in that era with any of the characters. Quite telling that.

A rebellion series is one of the questions posed and here were are a mere days past the end of one of the best SW TV shows in Andor, which showed the birth of the rebellion.

Post ROTJ Luke has even showed up for guest appearances with Mando, so that was a nice predictive question.

As for what I'd like to see. If they're not going to make a Solo 2 movie. I'd love to see Alden return in a Solo series that focuses on the time period between Solo the movie and SW the original film. I think that format could work well.

The last 2 shows in Skeleton Crew and Andor S2 gave me renewed hope after Acolyte that SW TV is in save hands. Be interesting to see where it goes next with any new shows after Ahsoka S2.

I still think the Acolyte is pretty decent it did have it's fans just like clone wars does, Andor does, Ashoka does .so many different fans of this story

Yep, I’m hoping for something in the future that appeals to me in a manner similar to Acolyte. Wasn’t quite my favorite of the series, but in a lot of ways it stood out as the most unique.

All I know is that whatever Disney produces next must be about a map.

The search for a map which will lead to the hidden ancient Jedi Temple... and the long-missing Jedi Master Luke Skywalker.

The search for a map which will lead to the hidden ancient Sith Temple... and the long-missing Sith Lord Darth Sidious.

The search for a map which will lead to the hidden galaxy outside all known space... and the long-missing Imperial Grand Admiral Thawn.

The search for a map which will lead to the hidden world of At Attin... and the long-missing secret of the Old Republic.

Hit me with more Map Quest, Disney. Take my money.

    STAR WARS - Mapnet

Inspired by Kate Monday and George Frankly's Mathnet on PBS, which was inspired by Sgt. Joe Friday and Officer Bill Gannon's Dragnet on NBC.

If only they hadn't killed Tala in Kenobi. She was another amazing female character.
