I think its quite likely some knowledge of her would have spread from these people into the rebels intelligence though and maybe to Mon, wanting to put a name for those responsible.

You could I think argue that her and Syril actually end up as more interesting because they don't "turn" against the Empire even when they see its true nature but instead just go after an "enemy" in Cassian and Luthen obsessively.

I was half expecting her to "fry" herself when shown in prison but you could argue I spose living with herself and the abuse she's likely to get as an ISB agent in prison is a much worse punishment.

Really wonder why so many fans here apparently don't think she'll get into the Amnesty Program, when it's made for people like Dedra and some even higher ranking Imperials? Guess a lot of them were responsible for war crimes or were doing those things because of their orders

The ISB's status as decision makers with responsibility though does seem to outstrip their "rank", in this case Dedra directly helped to plan the genocide/ethnic cleansing.

IRL, the "I was just following orders" defense was unequivocally denied at the Nuremburg trials of Nazi war criminals. I would bet money that the NR came to a similar legal decision.

Good points. But there would have been not many people inside the Amnesty program inside the Amnesty program in this case.

    That's what I was thinking.

Ahsoka's Tano, it would be truly hilarious in a dark way if she wound up at the Imperial labor camp that Jyn was in prior to her rescue in R1. But I doubt that would happen.

Yeah, but what about the prison that Cassian was in during Season 1? Was that the same prison? It looked like she was in the same uniform that he was wearing.

I imagine it was the same prison from Season 1. I didn't think the other one was a possibility. I was joking.

All interesting questions, for sure. The New Republic would be faced with someone responsible for a genocide, but also someone who appears to have played a role in the Death Star leak to the Rebels.

If she could convince the NR that she did this intentionally to make up for her role in the genocide, then perhaps she would be offered Amnesty?

I'm certain that survivors of Ghorman would want the book thrown at her, but the NR may have their own reasons for giving her amnesty.

I think if I was writing it, the Ghormans would be allowed to have custody of Dedra so they can execute her, but she would escape with the help Imperial Remnant/First Order people.

I can actually see Dedra fitting in better with First Order types than the more warlord style Imperial Remnants.

It could be interesting to see Dedra play a key role in the creation of the First Order. It would add something to that group that is lacking now (interest).

It's definitely the same TYPE of prison - the uniforms, the bunks, the floors, etc. make this clear. It's PROBABLY on the same planet - we see several of the same type of structures when Cassian is first brought there. It is probably NOT the exact same prison - Cassian's appeared to be a men's prison.

Tony Gilroy confirmed that it is the same prison system. Though she’s on Narkina 3, while Cassian was on Narkina 5.

In this case Narkina 1 and 2 might be for aliens. 3 is for women and 4 for non-binary people

What is the definition of an "alien" in the Star Wars franchise? From Earth standards, any being not from our planet could be considered an "alien".

Yeah, I guess. I mean, maybe the Empire would call non-humanoids, "aliens", but for all intents and purposes, you see humans living among all different types of species on just about every planet in the galaxy.

Maybe the difference between Narkina 1 and 2 is that one is for humanoid aliens like the Twi'leks for example and the other for nonhumanoids like the Hutts

    That's the spirit.

I imagine that even if Dedra is not worked to death, she basically will be in there for about four and a half years. If the Rebels broke her out, I wonder how she would react. Glad to be free, I'm certain, but would she actually be grateful? Gosh, this show makes you both optimistic and cynical at once. Depends on which topic we're talking about.

Would be extremely funny if she's a hardcore rebell after being freed

Obviously Shaya was referring to non-human sentient species. It's standard in the fandom to refer to them as aliens.
