I love Spaceballs & Galaxy Quest, but I'm very sceptical.

 

It'll be rubbish. Trying much too hard with the title alone.

 

I'm all for a new Star Wars spoof, but these guys are complete hacks. Spaceballs wasn't necessarily Brooks at his best, but I'd wager it'll be parsecs light years ahead of this.

Mel Brooks is Mel Brooks, and Galaxy Quest had zero comedy pedigree from its directors, writers, and producers but consequently had a better comedy pedigree than Friedberg and Seltzer.

I'll probably watch it if it comes to Netflix or something.

 

Even as a spoof, it will probably still be less derivative than The Force Awakens.
