Seven movies and One Season.. those “Underground G*d•mn Monsters” (Burt, Tremors) have been unleashing mayhem for decades!

    Tremors
    [IMG]

The Classic, Starring Kevin Bacon and Fred Ward, co-starring Reba Mcintire

The film bombed at the box office, but the VHS rentals saved it.

    Then the sequels..

    Tremors 2: Aftershocks
    [IMG]

Fred Ward refurns and this time Those pesky Grabiods mitate into heat seeking and walking mini-iods called Shriekers!

    Tremors 3: Back to Perfecfion
    [IMG]
Michael Gross, who plays the Doomsday Gun touting prepper Bury Gummer takes over and this time the monsters, “fly now!”

    Tremors 4: The Legend Begins
    [IMG]

A Prequel set in the Wild West,
    Gonna need a bigger gun!

    Tremors 5: Bloodlines
Everything is Always Bigger in Africa
    [IMG]

One of the better sequels, Bury travels with his son to the cradle of civilization to meet the first Grabiods and their Queen..

Tremors 6: Cold Day in Hell
    [IMG]

The Grabiods and A.S.S. Blastees seek cooler climates and Burt is called in again, only he has a Grabiod virus that mat take him down before he can make sure Santa Claus’ home is safe.

    Tremors 7: Shrieker Island
    [IMG]

Napoleon Dynamite joins Burt in a final stand with Subterranean Creatures in Thailand. Will this be the end of Burt Guer?

    Tremors The Series
    [IMG]

SyFy Channel aired a one season show that had Michael Gross and friends hunting monsters underground and everywhere! Tremors 3: Back to Perfection was kinda pilot to this series that had it not been aired out of order on SyFy, may have gotten a second season.

So there you go.. a franchise with spunk. :p

    What is your favorite installment?

Do you like the mutations or prefer Grabiods as the main antagonists?

Do you think there is ever too much C4?

Does your wall look like a rec room of Rambo? :p

    Favorite lines?
“Broke into wrong rec room didn’t you, you b*stards!”
“I am older and wisee; well your half right”
“I am completely out of ammo! That has never happenee to me before..”
“Doing what I can with what I got”
“Doesn’t he have a home to go to?”
    “Imminent domain!”
“My balls are made of stainless steel! My balls are in genius book of balls!”
    :p

This series has it's ups and downs. Mostly downs. But still, it can be a distraction for an hour or 2 once in awhile.

The Original is something of a cult classic, though a little rough around the edges. They did a good job or conveying the danger and the suspense for a creature you don't see most of the film. Basically "land-jaws" only the characters are much more enjoyable and the atmosphere lighter and even funny.

Tremors 2, is in my opinion, the high point of the series. Fred Ward does a great job, and freed from side-kicking with Mr. 6-Degrees, he plays a great flawed hero. The new sidekick is different enough that it's not completely obvious they rewrote Bacon's character. Michael Gross takes his character's extremes to hilarious extremes and yet also humanizes him and makes him relatable, instead of being the stubborn, gun-totting jerk in the first film.

Tremors 3 was a cheap trainwreck.

The Tremors Series was much the same.

Tremors 4 was 10 minutes of awful and it got shut off.

I have not seen anything else. Though Jamie Kennedy co-staring would be enough to get me to pause a few minutes in a channel surf to see if it is anything worth continuing.

Jon Heder, on the contrary, makes that last one totally verboten.
