Do you all agree with this list?

I am surprised that the Star Trek Insurrection planet that rejuvenated life wasn't added or Hoth even!

    Top 10

This list sems to be much more Literary the Cinimatic. As such, I was surprised to see Dune not be number one. Most of the worlds mentioned, I admit, I had never heard of. In literary Sci-Fi, my favorite planet has allways been Earth. A dystopic, disfunctional, crappy Earth (Philip K Dick, Orwell, Huxley's works (read Island, no one else has but it is so tike today it is creepy).

As for my favorite move planets. Well, big surprise here gang: Tattoine, Hoth, Yavin and moon, Alderaan, Corescant, Naboo, Geonosis, Endor and moon, Fellucia, Kashyyk, Utipau, and Mustifarr (yeah, I misspelled those, but so does GL).

The Genesis moon in the good Trek movie was cool, and Urapente (if I can't spell in English, I can't spell in Klingon either) in the not crappy trek movie was allways how I thought Kessel was like.

Kesh would probably have a better grasp, most of my non-SW lit is non-fiction of the classics. Larry Nevin's ring world was pretty cool, surprised that didn't make it and a planet from some Nevin joint book I have never read did. (Sidenote: if it takes two people to write a book, it probably is not worth reading.)

GL totally stole Tattoine from Hurbert's Dune. And the Vancover reference was pretty funny (every BSG planet is Vancover). What about Old Scool Trek's paper mache rock and odd lighting at the back lot of Desilu Studio's planets? You know, the red one with the rock where that guy died, or the blue one with the rock where that guy died?

    Jammies

Honestly, anyone know all ten of these planets?

I would almost label that as the top ten most obscure planets. BTW, DUNE is a frakkin' book. ARRAKIS is the planet.

OK, this thread got me to thinking[face_thinking]

And I really liked the reminder above of Star Wars Planets.

And so, have been inspired to try my hand at a list of 10 planets,

    in Science Fiction

which I think is the focus.....

    and so,

I am surprized at area that did not seem to interest me,
like, any Star Trek planets, nor BSG planets, and others,
like maybe those from Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy,
or Galaxy quest, or many many other good shows,

and so here are 10 that I think of as all being very
    important in_____Science Fiction_______

Getting STAR WARS out of the way first:)
    1.) Degobah
    2.) Hoth
    3.) Tattoonine

4.)KRYPTON______How could that list not include SuperMan's home world from the Comics!
5.)Gallifrey____Doctor Who's Home World___been around and in use since 1969
________________Also, home to the Time Lords.
6.)Chulak_______10-yrs on Stargate and one of the Jaffa Home Worlds. Teal'c-s home as well.
7.)MONGO________Emperor MING rules this world, and FLASH GORDON trys to save it.
8.)ORK__________Hey, a fun favorite for me, Mork from Ork________nanu-nanu
    9.)Altair IV____Forbidden Planet___The ID-monster of the KRELL___

10.) and this is my Favorite, and those who read a lot may know what it is.
    TRANTOR__________from Isaac Asimov

hope to return soon to correct my spelling,
if fun here at work dose not stop me:)
