I've been a SW fan for years now and never really gotten involved in any kind of forum. I'm very interested in going. I just wanted to know if I need to bring anything? Do I need to know someone or something? What would we be discussing and how can I be apart of it all? FYI, I'm 27 years old and live near Wheatland. Any insight on this would be greatly appreciated.

Hey Monsoon-Tier,

You will not need to bring anything else but yourself! All you really need to be is a member of these boards that we post on. And, that's it!

As far as what will be discussed: various things! I'd suggest that your first 3 meetings be derived around movies, out to eat, etc. This gets everyone a chance to know one another at the beginning. THEN, after you become "official" (3 successful meetings with 3 members), get down to business with Episode 2 Line-ups, Celebration 2002, etc.

Its great to finally meet Sacramento fans on the Force.Net

But (and I say this uncomfortably) I am only 15 years old. A decade younger then some of you. Sure I am a large fan and would love to see Sac meetings but I feel that I might be to young.

 

Hey A1. Don't feel out of place because of your age. We all share a SW interest, and that's what we'll be focusing on. It sounds like I'm probably the oldest mofo in the crowd at 29.

 

Don't worry, A1Alpha. We are all fans! Age was never a big deal in our fanforce. But I will give you the usual spill like I do most youngsters under 18: Bring an adult with you. This is a good idea, at least for the first meeting until you get to know everyone. This isn't so much about trust, but more about legalities. Hope that helps.

Tom Sullivan, Sacramento's most popular talk show host, appearing on Sacramento's most popular radio station, just read portions of my e-mail inviting everyone to the meeting on Sunday!!

He was interviewing the guys in Seattle already waiting in line for Episode II, so I e-mailed him the information on our meeting Sunday. He left out some details, but did say to visit TheForce.Net for details!

I don't know if any fans happen to have heard it, but it was really fun.

 

NOOOOOO! I'm gonna be out of town! I've been waiting for something like this to happen for awhile now! Make sure you post what happened so the people that missed it can know what happened. Can't wait for the next one so that maybe I can come! Hope everyone has a good time. I guess I have a reason now to check the boards more often.

 

Oh bummer Pacman! I'm sorry you're going to miss us. Keep the February date available for the Star Trek Convention. Hopefully we can meet up then.
