2 FanForce Chapters Selected for tables @ SWCII

Chicago Force & Indy Knights made the cut & of course our good buddies The 501st. I have to admit that I like that Indy group. The website is cool & they have something for everyone.

Idea Taken from those Guys - Should we set up some sub-groups amongst ourselves? Like a gaming group, costuming group, etc. or should we keep it all together? We could still have our monthly chapter meetings, but the other groups could also meet on their own. Just a thought, especially now that we are getting to be such a big group (over 20 for this time around).

 

I could head up a colecting group but that could be done from here on line .

 

Yeah, some of it could definately be done online. But like the costuming & gaming would need to have some F2F meetings.

as far as gaming are we talking specificaly starwars gaming or in general IE d&d and all the other stuff like that cause I could be down for some of that kinda thing too.

 

I've never gotten into the D&D, & only played the old SW RPG a little & not for a long time, but I just bought a starter set for the new one, so I'm ready to get going again. But I suppose that would be up to people we could get together for it.

Chunk - if you're looking for D&D group, my little (6'6" but younger) brother has a group that meets on Sundays up in Northglenn I think. They've been doing that for years, but he's always looking new people.

 

d&d 's not my thing . whats your brothers name? I used to game with a bunch up there on sundays maybe I know him.

 

I'd be down for SW RPG...to learn at least.. But i've seen the people that play D&D, they scare me.

lol well you don't seem overly nerdy so we should be ok. but the guys that don't know where real life begins...those guys are the ones we should lock up in an asylum, and let them D&D the hell out of each other... lmfao!!

 

I don't know if I would fit into any subgroups. I'm not much for costuming (which is why someone else is making mine), I don't really do any gaming, I'm not much of a collector...and I'm just now starting to get back into the books, so I have a LOT to catch up on in that area...

 

A costume group would be a good idea. I wouldn't do gaming or collecting, just not my thing, but the costume thing would be awsome!

 

I would just about kill to setup a group for lightsaber sparring using Shinai and/or CF sabers with the acrylic rods!!!!!!

 

Chunk - Jason Peterson & the other guys. that I can remember their names, are Jeff & Wayne. There have been a bunch of others too, but those 2 guys have been there from the beginning.

I WANT TO GET SOME PVC OR CONDUIT FOR MY SABER . I DONT WANT TO SCREW UP THE BLADE ,

 

we got lots of bright orange conduit at work for fiber...but I don't know if they would let me take any home...
