The first ever JCC NHL playoff bracket challenge is here and @heels1785 has kindly donated a week's worth of colours for the winner! Don't know anything about hockey? That's okay! There is no sports tournament that is as random as the Stanley Cup playoffs so your chances at winning are as good as anyone else's.

You'll need to make an NHL.com account first if you don't have one.

Deadline to submit/adjust brackets is Saturday, May 15th at 7:14PM EDT.

was one leafs win away from going 8/8 in the 1R

long way to go, though. i put all my chips on winnipeg and carolina, and i think avs/lightning is the safest pick

Yeah. Same. I’m rooting for the Habs. There, I said it. I’m rooting for the effing Montréal Canadiens. I’m not happy about it one bit. I feel dirty and gross. But I want that cup on the right side of the border.

I guess I'm rooting for hometown-ish boy Nathan MacKinnon and the Avalanche for now. If they win I probably get to go to a parade. I went to two of Crosby's.

Edit: Brad Marchand is from the other side of the harbour, and he's Brad Marchand, so **** him.

i'm carolina or colorado. carolina is the closest geographically and it's been great to watch them develop a core into a juggernaut. jared bednar is the best hockey coach i know of, and he managed the minor league team in charleston for years (won a Cup, too) - so i'd love to see him get it done with the avs.
