2027(SW's golden anniversary)What can we expect?

I can't wait for the sequel trilogy to begin in 2015 and to see the spinoff movies with Han Solo, Boba Fett and maybe Obi-Wan and Darth Vader's adventures between ROTS & ANH. Now we know that
Episode VII comes out in 2015,Episode VIII in 2017 and Episode IX in 2019 and the three spin off movies come out in 2016,2018 and 2020.


But what lies beyond 2020? Will there be more SW spinoff movies and/or even a fourth SW trilogy of Episodes X,XI and XII? What will happen on SW's 50th anniversary? Will it be the release of Episode X in theatres or perhaps a SW reboot trilogy with young Luke,Han and Leia set between ANH &TESB(a la J.J. Abrams' recent Star Trek movies) which could be based on the SW Marvel Comic series or the recent one from Dark Horse or even the upcoming Rebellion and Empire book trilogy from Del Rey by Martha Wells, James S.A. Correy and Kevin Hearne. I don't know about you but even though the first book of the Rebellion and Empire trilogy Razor's Edge is not out yet but judging by the excerpt in the new SW book Kenobi with it's awesome starship battles. That book and that trilogy would make an awesome reboot movie trilogy to come out in 2027(SW's golden anniversary) since that trilogy will focus on the Big 3 with the first book to deal with Leia, the second book to focus on Han and the third to deal with Luke.

But another option for 2027 would be Episode X, the first in the sequel-sequel trilogy to deal with the further adventures of the new generation of heroes from Episodes VII-IX set years after Luke, Han and Leia are long gone.

 

Moving to SWC

 

By then I expect a complete re-boot. The roles of Luke and Leia will be reversed,Han Solo will be a female character, and everything will be animated instead of live action.

My votes go to all except the reboot.

 

I will take anything that has nothing to do with the Skywalkers and all their friends.

Another option for 2027 would be a star wars reboot trilogy with Luke,Han and Leia(the Big 3)shortly or just a few years after ROTJ but with different actors playing them a la J.J. Abrams' Star Trek. This is the trilogy we wished we had around in 1987 when Hamill,Fisher and Ford was still in their prime to play younger Luke,Han and Leia. This trilogy would be based on The Truce at Bakura,The Courtship of Princess Leia,Luke Skywalker and the Shadows of Mindor,the Marvel SW issues post-Jedi and the Thrawn Trilogy. It would be fun to see Thrawn, Nuso Esva, Lord Shadowspawn, Mara Jade, the Nagai and the Tofs and even Warlord Zsnj on screen. This would make an awesome film for SW's golden anniversary year 2027 or maybe Episode X(the first chapter in the new heroes' SW trilogy or the final chapter of all the SW episodes Episode XII with an infinity of SW spinoff films for years and decades to come.

 

Horridly unlikely, but I'd be perfectly happy with a KOTOR Trilogy

 

2027 is over a decade away. We don't even really know what post-Disney acquisition Star Wars is going to look like, let alone the geopolitical/socio-economic circumstance of the humans of planet earth. Waaaaay to early to plan anything but a birthday party.

 

I'd like to get a table at SWC 2027 and sell off my most valuable collectibles at outrageous prices!
