Star Wars needs a travelling festival like the Medieval ones that make there way across the country all year round.

Here in New York, a "Renaissance" festival arrives for about 2 months in the summer set in the beautiful Sterling forest. There, people are encouraged to come dressed as Knights, kings, queens, damsels, warriors, elves, you name it. The producers set up the area with period building facades that put you in a medieval environment. There are games people play, shops, food and lots more. The highlights of the festival are the actors who perform the story of Robin Hood throughout the day on various stages. And everything is interactive.

What better way for the thousands (maybe millions) of fans to immerse themselves in the Star Wars environment. Especially with all of the people who have truly fantastic costumes to go with it. A small investment on Lucasfilm's part would help in making some cool portable settings that are easy to build and break down as the festival moves from town to town, state to state. And surely there are talented performers out there who would love the opportunity to play out scenes from the entire saga with an enthusiastic crowd watching.

Maybe a "Mos Eisley Spaceport" festival. What a way to just play Star Wars with fellow enthusiats.

    Any thoughts?
