Dark Horse Comics writer John Ostrander and artist Jan Duursema have created a female Twi'lek Jedi that has transcended the comic book pages and onto SW cinematic history in AOTC. The character has recently been selected for the cover of SW Insider#62. I missed her first appearance in the free Dark Horse Insider strip, Heart of Fire but picked up SW#19 Twilight when it came out and followed her adventures ever since. Everyone now knows about the Jon Foster cover for SW#33 that caught the eye of George Lucas himself...

She is a minor character that has a growing fan following as close to 1980 TESB-era Boba Fett but unlike the Bounty Hunter, has no real history in the SW Universe...that we know of. Some say she was cool looking, added variety to the Jedi ensemble and that's it. Others speculate she could have some involvement with the Skywalker "twins" and even have a seat on the Jedi Council at the end of the Old Republic.

This is for all Aayla Secura Fans and the creators, Ostrander and Duursema . People with negative , derogatory comments can stay at their Padme, Dorme, Fisto , etc sites . We don't go around talking crap about your favorites so do us all a big favor and do not start anything stupid...

May the Force be with You. And I'll see you in Hell! :p

Hi guys! Thanks for dropping by.

Well in the Dark Horse Comics upcoming Clone Wars story arc, Aayla and her supporting cast before the "Republic" add-on title will be taking a step back to make way for the main SW characters, Obi-Wan and Anakin, since it is thier story afterall.

For all you Aayla fans out there: how do you feel about this? Should we be seeing more Aayla involved with the upcoming events? Episode 3 doesn't come out until 2005? so that's alot of Obi Wan and Anakin stories to tell! Please let Dark Horse Comics know what you feel so they can tell Lucasfilm about it. This way, we can get more Aayla stories and best of all: Aayla merchandise :D!! Wouldn't it be great to get a mini-bust, posters, statues, etc made...?

Well, they ARE making an Aayla Secura action figure -- it should be out in 2003, as I recall.

    Fellow posters,

I am here on behalf of the NEUE. If we have posted this request in here before, please forgive us. :) I am going around asking all of the threads if they would put a governor from their thread in the NEUE. The governor would not have to attend meetings like a Senator would in the Senate, they would just report problems from their thread to the NEUE. We will try and help you out as best as we can. Mainly what we are trying to accomplish, is a quicker, more efficient, alternative to the EUIS, and to try and make a self-government with only major problems being reported to the mods. I thank you for your time, and if you have any questions just pm me. :) If you want to appoint a governor for your thread, either pm me or put up a post in The EU Empire thread naming your Governor. Thank you for your time. :)

    Sincerely,

    Empress RockDragon

Wow, Yodaminch, thanks for posting my fan art over here! About this "governor" thing: I'm not really into all that stuff but thanks for nominating me though! Maybe AgentSmith when he comes back?

    Great idea Kampilan! :)

For those interested in information about Aayla Secura:
    - The Aayla Secura Database entry at starwars.com.
    - The Feature Aayla Secura: From EU to Episode II at starwars.com
    - The Aayla Secura Fansite.
    - The Aayla Secura Yahoo! Fanclub.
    - Jan Duursema's official website. (The co-creator of Aayla and artist who pencils her in Star Wars Ongoing/Star Wars Republic.)

(Amy Allen's -the actress who portrayed Aayla in Episode II- website is still under construction.)

Imho, Aayla Secura is a great character with a believable and realistic personality, a true Light Jedi that faced many challenges and obstacles and has always overcome them. :)
I believe characters like Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi are already focused on enough in the movies and books and that the comics should give amply room to characters such as Aayla who holds tremendous potential.
