When i saw ROTS for the first time i found it puzzling that Aayla Secura just turned and stared at the Clone Troopers as they opened fire on her. Ki-Adi-Mundi had the time to react and block some blaster bolts, why didnt she?? I could understand it would be a shock to find your troops turning on you but she just stood there. A jedi like her could definately take on 5-7 clone troopers. Does anyone else agree w/ me?

I think it was merely shock. Having the Clonetroopers turn on her was probally the last thing she ever expected to happen...and it happened. She didn't know what to do.

I totally agree with her being in shock. Look at how Yoda deals with the situation...those Clone Troopers are right up behind him before he reacts...and he must have a "Force sense" greater than Aayla.

She heard the clicking of the rifles as they were being trained on her. She didn't get a chance to do anything, despite her Jedi reflexes. Ki-Adi-Mundi was able to realize what was happening as he turned back to see why the Clonetroopers weren't following him. He saw them take aim and thus he had time to block a few shots before being overwhelmed.

Yoda was very much attuned to the Living Force at that moment, which was why he could sense the danger behind him.

"In a moment of distraction, as a native Felucian bird took wing and drew Aayla's attentions skyward, Bly and his troops opened fire, riddling Secura's body with blaster bolts and killing her."

A native bird flew past and made a sound then Aayla looked back at the bird in surprise then the trooprs cocked their weapons and Aayla looked back in astonishment. Of courst it would take you a while to think if the troops were still at your side. She was like thinking "What is going on what are you doing?" then she's shot many times.

I considered the shock factor, however she didnt ignite her saber. Im not saying shock didnt affect her, but couldnt the mere sound of blaster rifles clicked to train on Aayla. Sadly, not all Jedi were that attuned to the living force. (Sigh) The sudden thought of no Jedi in a galaxy that once was teaming with them is terrible......

That's from the official Aayla Secura databank entry.

She didn't turn and stare, it was no more than a glance before being shot in the back repeatedly. She had no chance.

Yeah it sure is. Well it explains her glance at the troops after she was distracted by the felucian bird Adm_Thrawn.

She looks back for less than a half a second before they open fire. She had NO chance what so ever to even ignite her saber. By the time she realized they are going to shoot at her, they had already started to.

Good thing for the comics or else she would be a waste for a character. She was pretty hot for being blue.

Good thing for the comics or she wouldn't have been a character at all.

She stared because the clone troopers obviously led her to a supposed battle scene. They made her think that they were walking into battle w/ droids. At the last second, she realized that it was her ambush and by then, it was too late.

if they kept her line in it would be more beliveable becuase one second her lightsaber is on her side and she is standing near a cliff next thing you know is her lightsabers is in her hand nd no cliff.

She was doomed. It was sad, but the clones did what they must. Its not like this

Commander Bly: Aayla I just received word form sideos order66. We have to kill you, so stand there like u dont know it.

    Aayla: Okay, hows this?

Commander Bly: Ahhh stand there, good, now look at that bird.

    (she dies by the clones)

Not just that why so many blaster shots at her? After one, two, or three wouldn't you think she would be dead? Don't blast me if this has been discussed before just a thought.

Well, she's worked with Bly for a while, so she would obviously be surprised at his "betrayal". Also, she might also be in shock as Order 66 starts to wipe out Jedi, and just as she was feeling the first of the deaths...

we were used to seeing the clone troopers as an ally of the Jedi and they were fighting the good fight. GL orchestrated that scene where they fire several rounds, after she had fallen,
in order to show us how evil and callous Sidious had programmed his new army. That scene was meant to show us that the clones were no longer goodie-goodie soldiers, but dark, evil mercenaries whose general is the biggest evil in the galaxy
