I agree, but I only started a topic about this one story just for the LOLs, because that's how I roll.

 

I'm sure it'll be fantastic, but how will it go down with anti-pollution and anti-smoking advocates? I can't see them endorsing a television show which glorifies a giant cloud of smoke. I mean, just think of all the health problems Smokey must be causing his wife and children.

And how exactly is he meant to go anywhere without violating Illinois' anti-smoking legislation? Even if he is granted an exemption, he'll still trigger the smoke detectors at work, and nobody's going to appreciate the sprinklers going off every five minutes. And their plan to depict the character "shooting the breeze with buddies at a local watering hole"? Not likely.

I suppose it could be used as a vehicle to examine the broader theme of individual's rights, but can we really trust Chuck Lorre to deliver? I say this will all go up in smoke.

I hope they're doing its backstory in this series.

That's why threads linking Onion articles are so much fun.

 

Yup, you can really tell who reads the articles (or at least hovers their mouse over the link) and who just reads the thread title and responds. Especially when the first response mentions the Onion.
