I know there's a connection between the Love Theme and Hook, but I've found a third one. Towards the end of All Dogs Go To Heaven 2 (My little brother is watching it), you hear the entire first half of the motif or whatever it's called. The duhhhh-duhhh-duh duh duh duuuuh duhhh.

It sounds exactly like it, pacing, notes, everything. It just doesn't continue after the down note that appears in the middle of the main part of the Love Theme. Sorry I'm not more musical-term inclined, so I may not make a whole lot of sense.

Baffles me, too. Note, the music in All Dogs Go To Heaven is not SIMILAR. It is the SAME, just not as epic sounding.

Well, I'm musically oriented. I might just have to take a look.

I just watched All dogs go to heaven II. Ending is very simillar to the Across the stars, indeed. Amazing.

If All Dogs Go To Heaven then All Compsers Go To Hell

Y'know, Across the Stars is a combination of Luke's Theme and Leia's Theme, to foreshadow what will come from Anakin and Padme's love. I only saw All Dogs Go to Heaven 2 once, a long time ago, so I can't speak to any similarities.

Not sure if that really contributes much, but, well, there it is.

It could just be a coincidence. With as much music out there, it's entirely possible that two composers would come up with a similar score. :)
