My favourite is Ewan McGregor

Mark Hamill is my favorite. I think he does a wonderful job showing us a farm boy transformed into a Jedi.

 

Hayden, He's done a awsome job, can't wait till EP3!

 

Peter Cushing, Alec, are the best actors.
James Earl Jones and Frank Oz did great jobs with the voice talent.
For the Prequels I Ian did a great job.

I really cannot say who is the best. The people i stated in this post are the top actors of the saga.

I would have to say Mark Hamill. He does a great job with some tricky character situations, and I fail to understand how people seem to have decided that he is a bad actor. I personally think his performance showed great understanding of the character and story, and also a surprising level of subtlety.

However, by the end of Episode III I foresee myself changing my opinion to Hayden Christensen... he has done a perfect job so far, and if he continues that trend with the new material in the 'final' film, it should be an amazing performance.

Strangely enough, these are the two people who have been described as the most wooden actors in the saga by the oh-so-clever film critics of the world. While I (grudgingly) admit that there may be wooden lines or even performances across the saga, I don't identify any of that as coming from these two. I simply can't see it!

 

I have to say Mark Hamill. The development from naive teenager to Jedi Knight was done very well. He really carried RotJ.

Ian McDiarmid without a doubt . the way he says his lines is perfect for the part he plays .

I totaly agree! His performance, especialy in RoTJ, is marvelous!

 

Christopher Lee by far he is the most talented actor in the whole saga. Ian would definetly be a close second.

 

Peter Mayhew. He perfectly captured the complex personality and detailed manerisms of Chewbacca. A performance worthy of an Oscar.
