Boston Legal is now into it's third season.

I absolutley love the show, the humour of William Shatner with James Spader is brilliant. I was very surprised to see that there wasn't already a thread about it.

    Shame on you.

Here's a little more about it here.
    clicky

I would go on but those for those who already love it I don't see why I have too.

I love this show. It's one of the few I bother making time for every week. As far as I'm concerned, Denny Crane is Shatner's definitive role. And Spader is great as Shore. He delivers the best speeches this side of Scrubs, witness him shutting down a credit card company's lawyer, or the case defending the government that he worked with Denny last season as two stand-outs.

Season three started out a bit wobbly, but it's really fallen back into the groove since. The new characters are growing on me, as well.

Ah, a little searching on youtube found the credit card speech: here. I believe the word is "pwned."

Shatner's preening self-regard is probably ideal for a certain type of lawyer, no question. :)

It's pretty funny. I like counting how many Star Trek actors appear on any given episode.

Boston Legal is currently the funniest show on TV. James Spader and William Shatner are the funniest tv couple since Frasier's Kelsey Grammer and David Hyde-Pierce. The entire cast is incredible and recent addition Craig Bierko has just slipped right in like he's always been there. However I fear he's taken to much time away from Spader, Shatner and Mark Valley who hasn't had anything to do this season. My favorite show next to Lost.

Fantastic show. Eccentric characters, spot-on humor, and incredible cast. Find me a weak link in that group of actors and he or she would still be better than anyone on a lot of other shows.

Every time they break the fourth wall, I laugh so hard. It works because they know how and when to use it.

I tend to agree that Craig Bierko's character is a little too much like Alan. Doing all the grandstanding wicked long super-fast speeches that Spader usually gets. But I like the new girl, now that she's shown she has a dimension to her that's actually nice. We won't want to see that side all the time, but the fact that it's there makes her a much better character.

    To next season!

I absolutely LOVE this show. In my opinion, it's the best show on television (though I admit I don't watch a lot of TV, sooo I'm probably not the best person to make statements like that).

    It's okay; I'm an ex-Marine. I was a trained sniper. Or was I a pilot?

When they did the wrestling match in the last episode, they really should have used the music from "Amok Time".

lol. yea, that was a great episode, the new characters are fitting right in, though they werent very apparent in that last episode. I wonder if the whole murder case is going to last the whole season?

    BUMP

Did anyone manage to catch that last episode? The plot thickens.[face_shame_on_you]
Wow the guy that plays Jerry does a good job, I mean everyone does, but for a secondary character.
    Must have felt guttered.

Last Tuesday's episode was terrific. Alan Shore can slather me in maple syrup and lick it off any day. Also his line, "Your honor! I object! She's making fun of Christianity. That is clearly unpatriotic and I worry for the troops," was classic. At first, I was afraid that the new lawyer guy was going to steal some of Alan's thunder, but I'm liking him more as the show goes on. I like the new girl too.

I loved how Alan managed to insult every religion. "Your Honor, she's clearly Jewish."

    From EW:

    "John Larroquette joins Boston Legal
John Larroquette will join ABC's David E. Kelley drama Boston Legal next season as a senior partner from the New York offices of Crane Poole & Schmidt who transfers to the Boston office. No other details were released about his storyline. The show also announced that Christian Clemenson (who plays Jerry ''Hands'' Espenson, a lawyer and friend of James Spader's character, Alan Shore) has been made a series regular for next season, and that Tara Summers (Dirt) has been added to the cast as a younger associate at the Boston offices. Meanwhile, a rep for Twentieth Century Fox Television, which produces Boston Legal with Kelley, says that cast members Julie Bowen, Mark Valley, Rene Auberjonois, and Constance Zimmer will not be series regulars next season. This will be Larroquette's second stint as a lawyer. He is perhaps still best known for his previous role as the libido-ravaged Dan Fielding on Night Court, a role which earned him four Emmys in the 1980s. Clemenson previously starred in The Adventures of Brisco County Jr. He won an Oustanding Guest Actor Emmy in 2006 for his role on Boston Legal, which is scheduled to start production on its fourth season on June 27."

Oh fantasmical! John Larroquette will make a fantastic addition. Julie Bowen, Mark Valley, Rene Auberjonois, and Constance Zimmer will be sorely missed, however. Especially Constance Zimmer. Claire was one of my favorite of the "young female lawyers" on the show along with Tara (Rhona Mitra). Claire had real substance and I really grew to admire her through her relationship with Clarence.

The loss of Mark Valley and Rene Auberjonois, however, could really leave a gap in the show since they've been a big part of it from the beginning. Hopefully their appearances won't be too seldom.

Anyway, Boston Legal remains my favorite show on television and I cannot wait for Season 4. :D

    I love Boston Legal.
Alen SHore is the best character in any TV SHow.
SPader and Shatner together are so funny.

Only thing is that some people just get fired and disappear without any reason.
Like Paul Lewis and Denise now.

Well, Denise just had a baby so it makes sense that she won't be around as much. It says that they just won't be season regulars, not that they're off the show altogether. I suspect we will see bits of Paul here and there. At the beginning of Season 1 (if not the whole season), he was only a guest star, but he was still around quite a bit.
