Ahsoka Ahsoka Episode 1.08 (SEASON FINALE!!!) - Discussion Thread (Spoilers Allowed)

Somehow Mara Jade has returned.

 

Episode 8: It's Complicated.
I suppose from the episode title alone it was obvious we'd get nearly 40 minutes of Sabine explaining to Ezra and Ahsoka how complicated her decision making process was regarding her actions.
But what a surprise when Thrawn came into the room and explained how it wasn't as complicated as Sabine made it out to be! Perfectly showcasing his genius!
A win for the audience!
A win for Thrawn!
Plus setting up a fantastic cliffhanger for Season 2!

 

Baylan found Cesar, the somnambulist, and the avant-garde slow dialogue from the early episodes made a triumphant, dreamy, surrealist Star Wars return!

 

I don't think anyone expected that Baylan was looking for was the portal to take on Thanos and that Dr. Strange bought back all the Order 66 Jedi, talk about flipping the script on its head. Luke really knew what he was talking about when he said he would not be the last Jedi. Not sure why they decided to confirm in the post-credits that Kermit was a Sith all along but here we are.

 

Well... I expected the thing that called to Baylan to be Abeloth or some such thing.

The wormhole to the Star Trek universe I did not see coming at all. Totally blindsided me.

Baylan learning to peform the first ever Jedi mind-meld was an emotional moment. Truly, Dave Filoni is a genius greater than Tolkien.

 

This is where the fun begins

 

Imagine that! Captain James T. Kirk and the crew of the Enterprise arrive just in the nick of time to save everyone, when all hope was lost.

I feel like a kid on Christmas Eve.

This is where the fun concludes (for now).

 

I feel like the only kid at the Christmas party that doesn't believe in Santa.

 

So excited. Hope work doesn’t get in the way this week!

Can’t wait for this episode, but it looks like we will have quite a gap before the next Star Wars show .

 

So...

Ahsoka and Thrawn team up to stop Baylan from wiping out hyperspace travel and plunging civilization back to the era of tiny villages. No more galaxy-spanning Empires or Republics.

And Huyang whines "I think you took my advice to stay together too much to heart..."

 

How many hours till the worldwide premiere?

Kind of a weird twist that Xiono was right all along and Thrawn was just a figment of Ahsoka's Dreams and Madness

 

Its weird reveal how Thrawn and Snoke just became buddies
