    I'm ASO and I use AT&T.

    1) What phone do you have? Samsung Blackjack
    2) What do you like about your phone? It makes calls.
    3) What do you hate about your phone? Too big. The rolly wheel is annoying. It deleted all of the music I had on it.
    4) Would you recommend your phone to someone else? No.
    5) If your contract was up TODAY, what phone would you get and why? I feel strangely drawn to something on the Verizon network.

I have a Nokia phone with a Cingular logo on it. I don't recall what the actual model number is, but it makes phone calls and does text messaging, but has no camera or internet or music. Also sometimes I have to whack the right side of the phone to get the screen to turn on.

Well, I'm using a cheap Net10 phone(so cheap it cost $30, but it came with $30 worth of airtime) it was $30 a month for 500 minutes(thru the website), but I had to cancel that plan because for three months, I had to go thru customer support to get the minutes added, so now I'm just going to buy the airtime cards at the store.

I am forced to use T-Mobile in NYC. T-Mobile in NYC is -- by far -- the least-usable wireless carrier, though it's possible Sprint has taken up that mantle recently.

If only there were someone on these forums who could help me with my T-Mobile issues and wasn't lazy about calling the damned employee hotline for poor signal.

    IF ONLY!!!!!

I have a tracfone. [face_blush] Samsung something or another. I rarely hear it when it rings and it doesn't alert me except for the first time a text comes through. [face_plain]

Ugh, I had a blackjack several years ago, and it's by far the worst phone I ever had. The keys were so freaking tiny on that phone, and I have small fingers. It was very inconvenient to text on, the battery life was not very impressive, and it always dropped calls, which I'd never had an issue with with either AT&T, or other Samsung phones.

Had iPhones for a few years, but recently switched to Verizon, and have a HTC Thunderbolt, which I'm very happy with. However, I'm already annoyed with Verizon's customer service, so I'm considering going back to AT&T when my contract is up.

If there's one negative thing I consistently hear about Verizon, it's poor customer service. I've always had good customer service from AT&T. I have an iPhone 3Gs, and I'll probably upgrade to a 4 or its successor in December.

iPhone 4. Contrary to everyone in that other thread, I am quite pleased with the battery life. I used to shake my head at smartphone users, but now I don't know what I did without one.

Given my location, this is absolutely no use to you, but I'm gonna fill in the questionnaire anyway. :p

    1) What phone do you have? iPhone 3GS (three months from contract expiry)
    2) What do you like about your phone? Almost everything.
    3) What do you hate about your phone? Would like to move seamlessly from one app to the other. Apple went some way to resolving this recently, but I accept that other platforms have it easier.
    4) Would you recommend your phone to someone else? Yes. Particularly Richie.
    5) If your contract was up TODAY, what phone would you get and why? The next iPhone. Without a moments hesitation.

This is absolutely my experience. My brother had an iPhone before I did. I was still using a steam-powered telephone at the time. I pooh-pooh'd it every chance I got. I just didn't see the need for it... and so the verbal jousting continued for some time (as it does with brothers). Secretly, however, I was being worn down by its mermaid song. But I wasn't wholly convinced. Then one day I caved, marched right into my local O2 shop and got my 3GS. From that moment on I was a hive mind.

I have a Virgin pay-as-you-go plan with the cheapest phone I could find in 2005 (the Shorty). Every ninety days, I have to put another twenty bucks in.

I joked about smartphone users. Then my sister got one (HTC Desire) and I used it for a bit and now I seemingly can't stop encountering situations where I wish I had one too. I'd get an Android though because I'm still biased against Apple. :p

Oh and I currently have a Samsung B5310. I like the slideout keyboard, I've forgotten how to use predictive text.

I got the HTC Inspire 4G recently with my contract renewal and it was $100 (over $100 including tax) cheaper than an iPhone. I like it a lot. I don't like expensive data plans. Hooray for wi-fi.

Oh, I got the lowest-tier data plan. I just make sure not to use it up with **** like streaming movies or something. And there are plenty of wi-fi networks out in the great, big, terrifying world.

I have at&t as well, and very happy with them............their customer service is very good, and with the rollover minutes feature, I never have to worry about running out of minutes.

    1) What phone do you have?- A (red, DUH :p ) BlackBerry Torch.

    2) What do you like about your phone?- 4 things: 1) That it's a (vertical) slider/touchscreen combination, which gives me the best of both world's. Using the touchscreen for a lot of things is very nice, but I'm a person that needs to have that keyboard to do certain things; 2) The internet works A LOT better on the Torch than on my previous BlackBerry (Curve), and it also has WiFi capability; 3) There is a 'Delete Prior' option (which wasn't available on my old Curve) for my e-mails/Facebook notifications that allows me to delete them all at once, as opposed to having to delete each one individually; 4) The operating system is vastly better than that featured on the Curve.

    3) What do you hate about your phone?- The touchscreen is too sensitive at times, so if I'm on Facebook for example, I'll accidentally like a status that I didn't want to like/I'll post a status update of mine before I'm finished with it.

    4) Would you recommend your phone to someone else?- Yes, and I have already..........a co-worker of mine is getting a Torch for himself later on this week.

    5) If your contract was up TODAY, what phone would you get and why?- Another Torch..............I very much like/am geeked out about the BlackBerry brand (they call it CrackBerry for a reason).

Oh, rah bah bah. Humanity got along for ages without data plans; they don't need them now. Admittedly, though, they do seem cool.

I've got unlimited data access to the internet on my BlackBerry because A) I want/need to waste time at work by looking things up & B) I can check my banking account on the go, which is so very convenient to do.
