So I remembered this being a thing when The Last Jedi came out but this is a thread to break down and discuss the cameo roles in The Rise of Skywalker. Feel free to highlight any that have gone unnoticed even by Wikipedia or IMDB. Minor Cameos: Warwick Davis and his son Harrison Davis as Wicket and his son John Williams as a Kijimi bartender Harrison Ford as Han Solo Andy Serkis as Snoke James Earl Jones as Darth Vader Denis Lawson as Wedge Antiles Mark Hamill as the voice of Boolio (In addition to playing Luke he has another voice cameo like the Last Jedi but isn't credited for this part though it's fairly obvious it's him) Jodie Comer and Billy Howle as Rey's parents Debra Wilson as the voice of Nambi Gimba (Wilson previously played Cere in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order) Carolyn Hennessy (Voice of Leia in Resistance and other material) as Demine Lithe (Not sure where this role is in the film though) Matthew Wood as the voice of Cai Threnalli Unnamed roles (Ones that aren't named but also haven't been spotted yet to my knowledge): Lin-Manuel Miranda as a Resistance trooper Kevin Smith as Unnamed role Jeff Garlin as Unnamed role Supporting minor roles (Both returning and new for the film that aren't part of the main cast list) Greg Grunberg as Snap Wexley Billie Lourd as Lieutenant Connix Amanda Lawrence as Commander D'Arcy Hassan Taj and Lee Towersey perform R2 in place of Jimmy Vee Mike Quinn and Kipsang Rotich return as the performer and voice of Nien Nunb Dominic Monaghan as Beaumont Kin Shirley Henderson voices Babu Frik (Henderson is an actress known for Trainspotting, Bridget Jones and the Harry Potter series as Moaning Myrtle among other roles) J.J. Abrams voices D-O Chris Terrio as the voice of Aftab Ackbar Voices of Jedi Past (Most people know who spoke in this scene but some are claiming they heard others that haven't been named. Whether that's true or people misheard some who knows but I'm sure someone will break it down when it comes out on DVD to determine if anyone else is there that hasn't been named): Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan Kenobi with Alec Guinness also being used through archive audio Frank Oz as Yoda Samuel L. Jackson as Mace Windu Liam Neeson as Qui-Gon Jinn Ashley Eckstein as Ahsoka Tano Freddie Prinze Jr. as Kanan Jarrus Olivia D'Abo as Luminara Unduli Jennifer Hale as Aayla Secura Angelique Perrin as Adi Galia That's every minor role IMDB and Wikipedia or like in the case of Mark audience reception can find. If there any missing then share them.
I would have liked to hear Ki-Adi-Mundi's voice during that scene, but he would probably have just complained to Rey about the First Order attack on the Wookiees.
Ashley's voice was the only one I was listening closely for during the scene when all the Jedi voices were talking to Rey. I had been clued in she'd be among them when people started to put some TROS hidden spoilers in the Ahsoka thread.
Alex from Star Wars Explained says he heard Ki-Adi-Mundi's voice but I'm not sure. Again I'm sure someone will break down when it comes to home video.
I watched it with subtitles and noticed that not every voice was named in the scene - some were "Male Jedi" "Female Jedi", etc. I think Ahsoka and possibly Adi Gallia as well went unnamed.
That's somewhat of an ongoing conversation in the Ahsoka thread. Since Ahsoka was essentially Filoni's creation, I'd wager to guess Abrams had some discussion with him about it. For all we know, he might've even put something on the table with Abrams about future plans with the character. Ahsoka didn't go unnamed. Ashley's name was absolutely listed in the credits for the voice.
One of the one hand, hearing her and Kanan finally in the films, and hearing SLJ and Liam Neeson back as well, was cool. But how they were used was, underwhelming.
Wookieepedia for now doesn't list Ahsoka as dead by the time of Rise of Skywalker. https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Ahsoka_Tano But as others have said if she were the only Jedi still alive in that scene it would be odd since everyone else is dead. I guess it's up for Dave or whoever is telling her story next to solve this story thread.
I didn't expect anything more. Truthfully, it was better IMO than the blink-or-you'll-miss-it moment in R1 that featured the Ghost from Rebels among the many ships supporting what's going on Scariff below.
In the scene itself, the subtitles didn't name her. Kanan and Mace were definitely named by contrast.
Oh I wasn't watching it with subtitles. I could distinguish Ashley's voice from within a hundred other people's voices.
Oma Tres is the name of the Kijimi bartender (John Williams) Kiran Shah plays Nambi Ghima (physical, not voice) Karl Urban - additional voices Reggie Watts - additional voices
Wookieepidia is a fan source and does not list her as dead as it would be speculation to say she is. Just as they don’t list Phasma as dead. Don’t put any stock in it.
