Am I a 'poser'?

Okay, I don't skateboard. But I wear 'boarder' shoes. They are actually quite comfortable and I purchased them on sale. But I still feel like an idiot.

I feel kind of self-concious whenvever I go out in public because I either wear a plain white or black T-shirt, or maybe I wear a striped double-button shirt or something. Not exactly punk or anything.

Do my assumptions hold any weight?

No. My best friend is a skateboarder, and sometimes I'll slip on a pair of his old shoes because they are pretty damn comfortable.

Unless you go around claiming you can actualy skate, then you're not a poseur. Wearing skateboard shoes is okay if that's what you like. A lot of people who don't play sports walk around in football and basketball jerseys and nobody calls them a poseur.

Unless you wear Good Charlotte t-shirts, walk with a skateboard in your hand, wear those Vans teniss shoes and say that you like AC/DC, you are not a poseur

 

actually if you use the skateboard, and know how to use it. then you're not. and wearing Vans if you do know how to use it is not posing.

I don't believe in posers I think everyone has a right to do and wear what they want except in some cases where the person is being something they are totally not! Like there is this really annoying guy that I can't stand that goes to my school and he tries to be a rocker and he listens to rap? Does that make any sense! LOL!
