Anakin in the Bar

During the bar scene when Anakin and Obi are in the bar looking for Zam, Anakin walks past a (i think) woman on the right and while looking around appears to move his right hand in some sort of force move. He then looks behind himself as if he senses what is about to happen to Obi but does nothing. Is Anakin aware that Zam was on his way over to Obi? Did Anakin use some force move on that girl, if so, what for.

 

Because it's George's daughter and Hayden wants in on the Lucas fortune.

 

I think he is using the Force on the black bar patron (played by Ahmed "Jar Jar Binks" Best) who is standing next to Kathy Lucas.
It is possible that the patron would have tried to kick out Anakin as Jedi can only mean served limbs.

 

I hadn't noticed this until i went back and rewatched the scene- good observation

That's a Jedi skill known as the "force ****block."

 

Yeah, I just recently caught that as well - I thought maybe he was doing a variation on Obi-Wan's Mind Trick - saying "Don't be playing the ladies on my watch" or something like that.

At least,I HOPE that's what he's doing. If he's simply giving them a "subtle" wave, it's a laughable attempt.

 

maybe he used "force-bad pickup line" on her, i wouldn't put it past him, also if anyone has noticed, after obi wacks zam, anakin uses a huge mind trick, "Jedi buisness, go back to your drinks." then everyone goes back to their drinks, just shows how string he actually is.

 

In case that gal was actually the changeling, his Force command was "reveal to me anything you may be concealing."

The girl immediately goes ga-ga (she had been trying to contain a whopping case of puppy-love-at-first-sight for Anakin).

Her partner, Ahmed Best, also obediently displays what's on his mind - c*c#blocking. His body language betrays "Hey, don't muscle in on my turf, boy."

Unless he, too, has feelings of lust for the dashing young Jedi, and has not yet come to grips with his even deeper homophobia.
