PT Anakin is really stupid

I have a question regarding Anakin's intelligence in Revenge of the Sith. He is goaded into killing Count Dooku by Palpatine, and does. Then later, Palpatine keeps telling him about how he hates the Jedi, and tells him about a Sith who could save pregnant women from dying. Then Palpatine tells him he is the Sith Lord becuase Anakin can't take a hint. Anakin then kills Windu because Palpatine told him a very vague story about a Sith, and then after Palpatine tells him he lied, he just goes and kills everyone on Palpatine's orders. Later he murders his wife, just what he did not want happen, gets mutilated, then just gets in the suit and becomes Darth Vader. Explanations?

Yeah I agree, it's a bit rushed, I think it could better if the EU
1. Let him actually see Plagueis' ability of bring back the dead.
2. Let him experience such kind of situation(Windu), he didn't choose to interfere, then lost someone important.
3. After these, let him ask Palpatine to gather some secrets of the Dark Side since he's the only one who would agree to do it.

My fanfic actually included these.

 

-Anakin killed Dooku because Dooku was a military enemy, had made a fool of him and took his arm, initiated a war in which dozens of his friends had died, and was threatening the lives of the two men he loved most..and oh yeah he was SITH LORD. No one questions Mace Windu's one-the-spot sentencing of Palpatine but when Anakin does it he's a monster.

-Anakin betrayed Windu because Palpatine offered him the opportunity to save his wife while the Jedi pretty much told him to accept her death.

-He helps destroy the Jedi because Palpatine tells him he need to be strong enough in the dark-side to save Padme.

-After his injuries he's rebuilt because of all the limbs he's missing.

It won't last long, but I appreciate its creation.

 

I don't think kill Dooku is a good choice, at least he could still provide some use since he knew Sidious' identity.

Yeah, I have more questions. Why can't Anakin see that Palpatine is a Sith Lord, when he seems to despise the Jedi and is always talking about the advantages of a Sith Lord? And then Anakin just sits there like an idiot while Palpatine is obviously manipulating him. And don't tell me its explained in the novel, this is for movie only.

 

Sidious was keep working on Anakin to shake his belief of the Jedi. Anakin wanted to become a Jedi to protect the people he loves, but that's not the way of the old Jedi. So Palpatine was trying to let him to believe the Sith can give him more benefit.

But I agree Anakin should start to suspect him when he was told the tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise.
