Anakin Skywalker and A'Sharad Hett's friendship (Episode II spoilers)

We see in the first issue of Emissaries to Malastare that Anakin Skywalker and A'Sharad Hett have started developing something of a friendship. Do you think this will at all be affected by the events of Episode II?

In Episode II, Anakin's mother is murdered by Tusken Raiders, and Anakin goes on something of a rampage, striking down many of them, including women and children. Will Anakin have trouble dealing with A'Sharad when he returns to the Jedi Temple? Will Anakin take considerable pleasure in murdering A'Sharad when the Jedi Purge occurs? Thoughts please.

 

He probably respects him as a fellow Jedi Knight too much to blame him for that, besides A'Sharad Hett is a part human/part Tusken so he could be looked at either way.

Most likely hett will die in the Clone Wars and avoid Anakin/Vader entirely.

 

Hett will not show up in ep ii.

 

...of course he won't show up in Episode II. I'm saying in further EU. He's an EU character, he'll probably stay that way.

 

Well, remember that Episode 2 is almost 10 years after that meeting. Last we saw of Hett, he left with the Dark Woman to become her Padawan. Who knows what happened in 10 years? He might be dead, missing, etc. I guess we'll have to wait on this one. And I don't know if this has to do with anything, but isn't Hett only half Tusken?

 

Thats 8 years before AOTC and hes a half breed Human/Tusken Jedi.

 

I've thought about this myself, Mav. Interesting, to say the least.

And now we also know why Lucas had Brooks add the Tusken scene into the novelization of TPM. It creates a striking parallel on Anakin as a young boy and young man.
