Why didn't his eyes turn yellow during the slaughter at the Temple as they did when he was killing the Separatist leaders?

And not even during the heat of the Duel did they change. At least until the end.

    Good Question.
The only thing I can think of is that he REALLY hated Gunray.

If I had to guess I'd say he wasn't consumed with hate against the Younglings like he was against Nute Gunray. However, you'd think Obi-Wan would be the man he'd hate more than any other during their duel.

I don't know... Kenobi wasn't the one who tried to whack his wife a few times.
Maybe all of his anger was spent on the CIS leaders.

He really did hate the CIS leaders.

He had mixed emotions fighting at the Temple and later Obi-Wan. His eyes turned when Obi-Wan cut off his limbs. At that point he finally really, really hated Obi-Wan.

The Sith eyes should have been reserved for only the immolation scene. Having Anakin go back and forth with the omigosh I am pissed eyes just cheapens them and makes them a gimmick. Look ma! I'm evil!

But he MUST be evil, his eyes are yellow! No man with blue eyes ever did anything evil.

Yep. Or in the very least, once the eyes go "crimson and marigold" they don't turn back. That way, when Luke takes the mask off we see Anakin's now browless-eyes in a whole new light...

I do think that would have been better, it would also make Obi-Wan's "He ceased to be Anakin Skywalker and became Darth Vader." which is apparently accurate due to the Hayden ghost be more visible in RotS.

yah, what about Palpatine's eyes then? This is the one good argument that supports Palps being able to mask his true form of wrinkled, pale face, wicked teethed guy. If he can do it with his eyes, why not his other features?

Palpatine and Maul relied on their hate. They let the dark side flow through them. Thus their eyes are yellow. Dooku didn't let the hate consume him like it did Maul and Palpatine, which is why his eyes remained normal. Anakin let the hate for the Separatist Council consume him, when he went ballistic on them. He let it go afterwards, which is why he's able to cry like he does. After Obi-wan has cut his legs and arm off, Anakin's filled with such hatred that his eyes turn yellow again. They only revert back because he has lost his grip on his hate. But I believe that after he finds out that Padme is dead, his eyes turned yellow again as he was once more filled with such uncontrollable hate. This time his hate consumed him and he doesn't let go until he saves Luke.

I am gussing that his eyes turns yellow when he is mad but he was not as mad with the Jedi as he was mad at the sepertists.

I think that's what's supposed to come across, I just don't know that it makes sense. I mean, Vader thinks Obi-Wan turned Padme, the woman for whom he sacrificed the Republic, the Jedi, and the galaxy to save, against him. This single action has made every thing Vader was fighting for had now been turned to nothing by Kenobi. The woman he had done everything to save was now corrupted by the Jedi. I'd think he'd hate Obi-Wan more than any other being in the entire galaxy.

Edit: Of course it's from Anakin's perspective and I think he's psychotic.

I think Vader's eyes also turned red while he dueled Obi-Wan on the pipe.

During one shot, I swear his eyes turn Sithy (lol) as a burst of steam comes from the pipe!

I think that would be better too. I would also think that the reason that Count Dooku's eyes didn't change was that he just didn't sink as far down into the Dark Side as Palpatine and Maul did. And eventually Anakin. Dooku might have been bad, but he was kind of cold and dispassionate in a sense. He probably considered himself far too "civilised" and he didn't want to give himself up totally to the Dark Side like the others did. Maybe he thought, "I can be a Sith Lord, but I will not be an animal controlled by the Dark Side. I will be powerful, but I will be civilised like a gentlemen."

Here's an awesome question: Were Anakin's eyes GREEN at the end of ROTJ because they were yellow so long that they couldn't quite go all the way back to blue? That's cool.

Shaw's eyes were digitally enhanced to be blue like Hayden's eyes. They were brown originally.

So, the slaughter in the Jedi Temple wasn't hate motivated? I think it would have been awesome if at that scene when he finds the kids they aske him for help, then we see his eyes and they are Sith eyes. It would have been even cooler if he had a red lightsaber.

But surely he hated OB1 during the duel? Which is why I think his eyes should have turned during it.

No, Anakin didn't hate the Jedi in the Temple. He had anger for them, but that was all. And while he did hate Obi-wan, it didn't truly manifest itself until after Obi-wan messed him up.

I think his lust for power was obviously at 100%, but I think you're right in that his hate hadn't quite caught up.
