Anakin's Smoothest Pick-up Line / Anakin's Clumsiest Pick-up Line

For Smoothest (and this is a tough one) I'd have to go with the Compassion being the Ultimate love and Essential to a Jedi Speech.

For Clumsiest (and again it is so hard to pick just one) I'd go with {Parpaphrased} "...before the kiss we should not have shared becomes a scar..."

Not sure about lines, but I can think of actions...

Smoothest action - getting Padme to laugh by doing something stupid (riding the shaak) and pretending to be hurt when he falls off. It gets him a roll in the glass, cunning lad.

Clumsiest action - going in for the kill with Padme when they reach Naboo, leaving them both very embarresed when she breaks off the kiss. Nice move, champ

 

Clumsiest line: "You've grown more beautiful- for a senator." This must be Anakin's first attempt with the fair sex in quite some time because he totally botches the delivery.

Smoothest line: agree with both LottDodd and Damon D.

And now I look at my above post, I put down that Anakin got a 'roll in the glass'. Of course, I meant grass but it's too late to edit it now. A roll in glass isn't that romantic

 

Anakin was acting and talking like a geek to Padme. Fortunatelly for him, he was hot anyway that's why he won her. If she was to fall for his lines, Luke and Leia would never exist.

And yes, Obi-Wan's ''groan/roll-eyes etc.'' reactions were hilarious. He was the man.

 

Obi-Wan's probably thinking of all the pick-up lines he could have used.

As a girl, the one line that always gets me is "I'd be too frightened to tease a Senator." (followed by Jedi grin)

The "kiss becoming a scar" is the worst line, hands-down.

 

The smoothest: - I HATE THEM!
It´s so smooth that even Anakin doesn´t know it´s a pick-up line

The clumsiest: - You´re exactly the way I remember you in my dreams.
E-m-b-a-r-r-a-s-i-n-g!

LOL, yeah, his expression is like saying ''Oh, brother, all my 'how to pick up girls the Jedi way' teachings to him for nothing''

 

*Obi-Wan shoves Anakin out of the way*

OBI-WAN: Come on, let the Master take care of this.

PADME: Uhh...

OBI-WAN: Tally ho, my fine young trollop! How's about a quick roll in the grass?

*Padme slaps him and exits at speed*

OBI-WAN: Tsch. Women.
ANAKIN: And that was better, how?

 

As mushy and sappy as his lines were I melted hearing them. When he pours his heart out in front of the fireplace (swoon) I melted. I would have broken right there!! Damn Jedi!!! What are they priests?? What a complete waste!!! Gorgeous Qui Gon, Obi Wan and Anakin!! If anything needed to be balanced out it is Jedi don't marry. I am glad Luke gets together with Mara Jade!!

 

"Are you an angel?"

I can't decide if this is an innocent kid's charming way of opening a conversation or a terrible pick-up line. I guess it depends on your point of view.

 

I like that line too, that little kid had some moves.

I think the smoothest thing that Anakin does AOTC is probably cut the pear/apple with a knife using the force. I thought that was neat, if a little too obvious!

 

Good: "You might say we are encouraged to love," What a schmoozer. They don't teach stuff like that at the Jedi Temple. Maybe a space pilot taught it to him.

I must be the only one around who actually likes all of Anakin's lines in the fireplace scene, even that one about the scar, I though it was fine, an honest plea and expression.

Bad: "I don't like sand..."

I agree with Debeautimous, Lucas makes the Jedi seem soooo sexy yet so unavailable. It's just not fair! (lucky Padme, sort of)

Even Typho has the same look going on. Padme's is just looking at him thinking 'God you just made an ass of yourself, how embarrasing'

Smoothest:
Even though this really is a cheesy line it is my dream to use it oneday. "I dont like sand. Its rough, course and irrating and it gets everywhere. Not like here, here everything is soft and smooth" then he goes for a bit rub on Padme's back.

Corniest:
Everything else the boy says. But the worst is anything said in the fireplace scene.

 

In the SW universe, even the lamest lines can make a girl fall if the story demands that you will get together with her. Proof? Han and Leia in the OT.

That's the charm of the saga.

 

Well, as a guy, I'd use the: "You are in my very soul, tormenting me." to woo the ladies...

To amuse the ladies I'd say something like: "Don't worry, we have R2 with us."

To tantalize the ladies I'd say: "I'm a Jedi, I know I'm better than this." (speaking of starting a relationship)

To Piss off the ladies I'd say: "It's worse. You're overly critical, you never listen. In many ways I'm ahead of you."

To be the undying hero to the ladies I'd run into the ladies' room and kill two poisonous snakes with a couple of swipes with my lightsaber.

To explain why I was late for a date: "Oh, you know me, I couldn't find a speeder that I really liked."

Before any intimate scene, I'd have to borrow words from none other than Jar Jar Binx: "Mesa honoured to be taking on such a heavy burden."

 

I was VERY tempted to use the "I hate sand" line on someone. Alas, I'm a girl.

I don't know why people have a problem with the 'I hate sand' line because I think it's cute. As for my pick for Anakin's smoothest and clumsiest pick-up lines, I'd have to go with the following:

= Smoothest =

- "You are in my very soul, tormenting me."

- "Compassion, which I would define as unconditional love, is essential to a Jedi's life. So you could say that we are encouraged to love."

= Clumsiest =

- "So have you. Grown more beautiful I mean. For a Senator I mean."

 

Do you think Anakin is Subconsciously using Mind tricks {{{likemelikemelikemeohpleaselikeme}}} On Padme before she says "Stop Looking at me like that." "'Cause it Makes Me Nervous."???

 

The "I don't like sand" line was funny. It's like a Kaminoan(sp) saying "I don't like water".

Clumsiest - "So have you, grown more beautiful I mean". Mainly because she shoots him down with the "You'll always be that little boy I knew on Tatooine" reply.

Smoothest- Everything he said during the fireplace scene. Mainly because he's not trying to be smooth. He's just telling her the truth.

 

Smoothest: picnic scene, very charming, very sweet, etc.

Clumsiest, or I should say freakiest: the fireplace scence. I was reminded of Obi-Wan in ANH saying "Run Luke! Run!", except it was "Run Girl! Run!!!!" It's like a classic obssessed stalker speech.

 

Haha, I bet a real person would be mortified if their romantic lines were getting picked apart on a message board

 

Clumsiest: Like everyone else, Anakin's "senator" line was a very bad first impression. When him and Padmé parted in Episode I, there was really no hint of strong romantic feelings from Anakin - apart from the odd line of dialouge. All of a sudden they meet again, and it's made painfully obvious that Anakin had been obsessing over her for the last 10 years. It freaks a girl out, you know? *lol*

Smoothest: I admit, the whole "we are encouraged to love" bit seemed very natural and romantic. And you can tell that Padmé is generally pleased by the comment.

I don't think that many of his lines were smooth but I thought this line was pretty good "You've changed so much" "You haven't, you're exactly the way I remember you in my dreams" I agree about the "for a senator" thing was the worst.
