'And introducing Julia Roberts as Tess'

Does anyone else find this grace note at the end of Ocean's Eleven unspeakably hilarious?

 

Well, I'd never heard of her before.


Just be glad that it doesn't say, "And introducing Academy Award Winning Actress Julia Roberts as Tess."

 

Julia isn't nearly hot enough to play Tess.

 

I must've missed that part of the movie.

It's at the very end of the acting credits at the end of the movie. Oh, the irony...

"Introducing... the most recognizable movie star in America!"

 

Hillarious, yeah, Tess is not a good name for her.

"I'm not laughing, DANNY."

That whole conversation cracks me up... its just so witty and spitfire...

 

For some reason I thought this thread would be about Julia Roberts being cast in a movie of Tess of the D'Urbervilles [sp?], and thought first "Yuck!" and then "Well, maybe she's the right type" and then "Wait a sec, shouldn't she be English?"

Griff is right. Tess is way better looking than Julia Roberts.

I was SO worried I was in a chick flick for the first few minutes of Ocean's 11. I mean, it started with George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Joshua Jackson...then I remembered Roberts was in it and I was on the verge of going out on extended bathroom break.

Then the robbery plot started developing...

BTW, I know a Tess who's better-looking than Julia Roberts

 

I think she's pretty hot for most of the movie, except when her and Benedict are looking at the Picasso and she has her hair in a bun and a really ugly outfit. Other than that, HOOWAHH!
