Discussion of New Episodes - Rules
    (1) One of the mods will post each week's episode thread a day or two before it airs on Disney+.

    (2) Official episode commentary may be posted in this episode thread.

    (3) Discussion in the actual episode thread will be limited to that specific episode, NOT future episodes; past episodes may be referenced. Speculation based on released material is permitted.

    (4) Andor episodes air on Wednesday on Disney+. Anyone who shares plot details about an episode before then must use spoiler tags. After that folks will begin discussing their reviews and thoughts without tags which will likely include spoilers. To anyone concerned about being spoiled before watching the episode it is your responsibility to avoid the thread until you have had your chance to view.

    (5) All leaks and rumors must be spoiler tagged until they are either proven or disproven.

    (6) Reviews for each episode may be posted once they have aired. One of the mods will add a grading poll to that episode's discussion thread.

Great episode. I was a bit surprised it focused solely on Mando and Grogu. It takes place at least 15 years after last weeks episode.

Not sure what this had to do with Andor.

Integrating with the Obi-Wan show makes sense but the Mandalorian? Ha, yep B2EMO & K2S0's parts are reintegrated into Din Djarins new droid.
Crazy but then Cassians sister marries Miggs Mayfield!!

Somehow they survived. Seeing the dead heist members fifteen years later was really good writing. Made sense.

Who cares that it had nothing to do with the rest of the show? It was an enjoyable episode, it should just be appreciated that way. Would you have really liked it better if they just replaced the title?

Can’t believe Cassian gave up on “that rebel ****” and joined the Empire and then massacred an entire village! Terrible things he has indeed done!

Yes and yes. She's got that Halle Barry in GFFA look to her. And I think she'll play a big part closing season one out.

I said great episode! Between you and me that might be the best 47 minutes of TV ever- doesn’t matter what’s it’s titled. Han Solo was fantastic.

Spielberg hasn’t directed adventure like that since Jurassic Park. Maybe Raiders of the lost Ark.

Me too. I especially loved when the Wampa drove the car. Some how it actually made sense. Except for the keys. Any idea where he got the keys?

Wonder what this standalone episode will bring. Many think back to Ferrix and Casian's mom, Bixx and finding out who Cassian truly is when Luthen confronts him.

Or it could be the adventures of Wampa driving Miss Daisy Ridley

That was a great slow episode and that conversation between Mothma and her old friend was absolutely brilliant, possibly the best script writing in all of Star Wars, the layers, my goodness. I liked how we're probably all like, is that K2SO??

And - Ord Mantel???? Are we getting the Bad Batch???

Pretty sure this one's my favorite so far. The aftermath of the Aldhani heist and acceleration of Imperial surveillance was really palpable. So many strong scenes in this one: Luthen and Mon Mothma, the Coruscant dinner party, Cassian's conversations with Marva and Bix, Vel and Kleya, and both ISB conference room scenes. All were really well layered. The final sequence on Cassian's vacation planet might have been too abrupt a tonal shift for me, but it still got the point across. My only other issue is that Syril has basically remained stuck in the same gear since the end of the third episode.

    8/10

Lovely job of slowing down the pace to lay down the groundwork for the next rise in the storyline. It’s a quiet episode, but so much happens that I was on the edge of my seat the whole time.

Also, I’m loving the 1970s era chic in much of the look of this show and there was so much of it in this episode. While it isn’t the most aesthetically pleasing look, it is very much in line with the OT era.

    And that cube farm…

Great episode as all episodes, but I don't share the above enthusiasm. It was alright.
Genevieve Rainy and Fiona Shaw stole the show. The last 5 minutes on Niamos were excellent, albeit a tiny tad rushed.
Vel cleaned up well on Coruscant. I would have liked to see Palpatine making an announcement.
I wonder how Cassian will get out of this mess now.

Not a huge fan of the cliche plot device "Cynical dude goes to the beach, gets arrested unfairly, proceeds to become an idealist and join the fight against the super maxi bad Empire who didn't let him enjoy his vacation" .

I get the feeling Syril was behind that arrest of Andor wasn't he? Or did I misread that final scene.

I think it is the opposite. Finding Cassian's arrest record is going to get Syril out of his funk. Cassian was arrested for looking suspicious in the middle of a crackdown on any sign of trouble makers.
