    Discussion of New Episodes - Rules
    (1) One of the mods will post each week's episode thread a day or two before it airs on Disney+.

    (2) Official episode commentary may be posted in this episode thread.

    (3) Discussion in the actual episode thread will be limited to that specific episode, NOT future episodes; past episodes may be referenced. Speculation based on released material is permitted.

    (4) Andor episodes air on Tuesday on Disney+. Anyone who shares plot details about an episode before then must use spoiler tags. After that folks will begin discussing their reviews and thoughts without tags which will likely include spoilers. To anyone concerned about being spoiled before watching the episode it is your responsibility to avoid the thread until you have had your chance to view.

    (5) All leaks and rumors must be spoiler tagged until they are either proven or disproven.

    (6) Reviews for each episode may be posted once they have aired. One of the mods will add a grading poll to that episode's discussion thread.

    My favorite part was when Krennic said "Oh, that's ugly." Really shows how much he's changed when he appreciates beauty in Rogue One.

    When you think of ep 2 being the bridge in the trilogy, I didn’t think Gilroy would take it literally and do a one shot of abridge for the entire ep run time.

    Slower episode, more laying groundwork. I guess the payoff of Cassian with that guerilla group was the very last shot of the episode. Syril seems to be ever the piss-ant still. My main question was how they managed to cast Novak Djokovic for that one guy on Mina-Rau (you can't tell me that doesn't look exactly like him with grey hair).

    Ha, my first thought when Cassian landed in the jungle in episode 1 was that it was Yavin 4, and I initially thought I was wrong, but guess not!

    The word for this one is scheming. A lot going on in Chandrilla and could lead to darker plots. Cassian was patient and it paid off. That officer messing with my girl Bix was some creepy stuff. I imagined this is what the German officers would do during the third Reich.
    We just saw the template for getting Yavin base started!!

    Have to watch episode 3 later on - my sleeping routines are pretty messed up since the Celebration weekend already.

    Cereal boy is back. And he is still a naughty one. Somehow i feel for the kid. Is he just not that bright or is he deep down a psychopath? The scenes with Mon Mothma here is ranging from delightful to something really disturbing that starts awakening in her. Same goes for Luthen.

    Much more a set up for the thriller aspect of the plot this episode. But i also get Spielberg adventure feel from the corn field scenery and some big HBO series mood from the Mothma wedding. Nothing to complain about, but episode felt a bit more like a bridge/ transport to something bigger.

    And Yavin?

    Syril quickly becoming a favorite character for me. Love his intense obsession with bureaucratic minutia.
    The side plot between the warring "rebel" factions is a bit odd, but the end shot of the pyramids implies a future rebel base.
    Star Wars version of rock-paper-scissors?
    Mon Mothma is absolutely radiant!

    How good is Genevieve O'Reilly! Her performance is phenomenal but the entire cast around her at that wedding is amazing and her husband got his monologue - it was nice to see him shine.

    And wow, how much must they have spent on Chandrilla? It looks absolutely stunning.

    Syril and Dedra are the Dwight and Angela of the Empire. Dedra putting on the ISB toughness when Eedy tries her usual game of belittling Syril and he just takes it as per usual. Dedra is defending her boy! So twisted.

    Yeah, the Rebel Idiot Brigade was a real lowlight of the first three episodes for me. Everything else was excellent, but this subplot felt like filling dead air.

    Mother-in-law scene the most relatable in Star Wars yet.

    I like that the Rebel Idiot Brigade highlights the many layers of rebellion. There are competent flyboys like Cassian, and then there are idiot grunts like the Rebel Idiot Brigade.

    Another solid episode with a fun surprise at the end - prob a slight step down from the first episode but setting up what's to come.
