Andor Andor Episode 2.08 Discussion Thread (Spoilers Allowed)

Diego Luga has said his favorite episodes of season two are the premiere, finale, and episode 8. I can't wait to see what's so special about this one!

 

I’m going to assume that Diego was referring to the 20-minute arc Gilroy gave to Jar Jar in the episode. Revolution is not for the sane, indeed.

 

But I did like how they turned the epic battle into a Mesa Back dance with elements of Thriller and I Want It That Way.

 

I didn't expect we'd get a reveal of Kino Loy being experimented on by the Empire and turned into proto-Snoke.

This is where Dedra, Syril and Eady discuss seating arrangements for the wedding reception.

I don't think I've felt like this since Avengers:IW and there's one more episode to watch this week and 3 more next week.

Yoousa thinkin wesa gonna die....?

That was heavy like the Collective Soul song. Just brutal. So what is being broadcast to the galaxy? A Rebel insurgence caused it? We see how Cassian gets K-2SO so good. Not what I was expecting as I thought they'd tangle a bit before K2 goes down. Or was that K2 in Season one grabbing Cassian on Niamos?
Glad Wilmon made it to the next episode. Where is Luthen and why do I feel he is on the outside looking in at his own creation?

 

The single most greatest SW Live Action tv episode period.

So far at least. 4 more Andor episodes to go.

 

Well, that was pretty horrifying. Pretty obvious that Gilroy was adapting what happened on Maidan to the letter, but with a much more terrible ending for the protestors. Shame about Syril, too. Yeah, I am pretty speechless now, but easy 10/10. My only nitpick would be Cassian picking up K2SO in the middle of all of this was pretty forced, cause he is in Rogue One, but I haven't watched the next ep yet, he'll probably explain why he did it.

 

Damn. That was… horrifying. One of the most powerful episodes of Star Wars television ever.

My goodness, what an episode!
I thought the security droids were ominous when Syril walked into the room and one was staring at him. I was not prepared for how brutal they would become.
The fight between Cassian and Syril was shocking, vicious. RIP Syril. One of my favorite Star Wars characters.
Dedra seriously breaking down and desperate to pull herself together. Perhaps there's some humanity to her behind that cold-steel veneer.

 

I liked how music was once again a major part of protestors and how it played into revolution breaking out.

I wasn’t ready for how brutal the security droids were either. It shows clearly the Empire brought in inexperienced troopers knowing they’re react poorly and let things get out of hand. The frighteningly competent Imperial response was there the entire time.

That was magnetic when Syril saw Andor. He didn’t even know he save Dedra’s life. He just saw that face which had haunted him and attacked. That was a phenomenal show down.

 

I was expecting Syril to get lit up by stormtroopers after raising his rifle at Cassian

 

Wilmon certainly is a ladies' man, isn't he?
