Sad news as COVID-19 has claimed the life of another person who had his connection to the Star Wars Galaxy even if it was a brief one. Andrew Jack worked as a dialect coach on The Force Awakens, Rogue One, Solo and The Last Jedi and appeared in a minor role as Resistance Major Caluan Ematt in Force Awakens and Last Jedi and also voiced Moloch in Solo. He worked as a dialect coach for many films and worked with over 200 hundred actors working with Robert Downey Jr on Chaplin, Restoration, Sherlock Holmes and Doolittle, Pierce Brosnan in GoldenEye, Tomorrow Never Dies and Die Another Day, Cate Blanchett and Viggo Mortensen and the rest of the cast on Lord of the Rings where he created the Middle Earth accents and taught them along with Elvish and the Black Speech to the cast. He designed the accents for the Greeks and Trojans in Troy. He worked with Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson for Thor Ragnarok and Avengers Infinity War again for Hemsworth in the latter and Endgame as well as Men In Black International. He did countless stuff and was working on The Batman at the time of his death. https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-sussex-52111530 While we'll know him for the part he played in the Star Wars universe both on screen and as a dialect coach his contribution to other films as the latter should also be acknowledged. RIP. His IMDB: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0413087/
Rest in peace. Although he had a small role in the sequel trilogy, I still liked him. He looked like he fit right in with the Star Wars universe.
After seeing him in TFA and TLJ, I actually was looking for his character, among others, in the background in TROS but never saw him. RIP
he has one line I think in the entire series but the way he says "And MAYBE the PLANET!" in TFA is a good way to put some pop behind a single line of dialogue. definitely can tell that he's a dialogue/accent guy just from that delivery.
RIP. One of the more memorable background characters in Disney Star Wars. He did a great job. Probably enhanced more movies than we realise in his job as a dialect coach.
Sad news. His character was almost the spiritual successor to the other white-haired / bearded Rebel leader fella from the original movies.
