Ankle socks make you less of a man.

Real men wear real socks and leave them in a clumped ball around their ankles and like it. Owning or even wearing them once is enough to bump you down to the same level as eunuchs on the masculinity scale.

So true, even if you are pirating the icon of a woman ATM. Especially if your shoes are too small, you can pull out the insoles and not wear socks and then they will fit.
