If Robes came back into fashion, would you wear them?

I have a custom made set of robes, and they are the MOST comfortable clothes I have ever worn. That and they look too cool. So to answer your question, A resounding YES.

    :D

Nice to know someone shares my opinions...

But just think - How many SW fans are there in the world willing to wear Jedi Robes? Because there's always someone who sets the trend...

So I propose there be a day when it is encouraged to wear your robes if you have any.

    Wouldn't it be cool? :)

I'd certainly wear them. In many cultures around the world (specifically, countries in Africa and the Mid East, and Asia) robes are still very much part of the local fashion.

Perhaps one day we'll all be wearing them...like in the movie "Demolition Man" with Sylvester Stalone...

Oh my goodness! We should. That'd be great, to have all the SW fans wearing there Jedi robes on one particular day. I'd so do it when I make my robes (haven't made them yet, no moola. hehe). We could be the trendsetters of the new millenium. haha... :)

Wow! That would be so cool. I'd wear them if I had any.

I tend to like to wear something slightly out of the ordinary anyway. I like wearing what I call "hobbity" style clothes at the moment and in the winter I wear what I have dubbed "my walking carpet" which is a full length black coat black shaggy fur and red ribbon trim. It looks fairly traditionally Russian with a kind of retro 60s twist. And I'm not even going to try and explain my multi colored leather boots from Glastonbury.

Okay now I've gone totally off topic but yes wearing robes would be very, very cool.

    What do we do??

I there were a Star Wars Day, i would be walking in my RG costume all day.
But if i had a Jedi Costume (I hope i´ll soon will) i would be wearing that.

    (I hope i have the day off that day .. [face_clown] )

Many many years ago when I was a teenager and involved with amateur theatre we did a swords and sworcery style play. All the guys wore long robes or tunics, as did the women, and I have to say it felt great! It was like slopping around in a dressing gown!

July 4th would be a bad time for me, cuz it gets dreadfully hot in Florida. :( I definatly WILL wear my jedi gear on August 10 at a Sci Fi Con. And in November at a 3 day one. :D

I'll be the only padawan running around w/o a Master Jedi. :)

I wore my IRG costume to my Aquaculture exam, last year. :p But I end up wearing only the inner robe most of the time, which is design after an Female Arab Gown (Jubah/Hijab?) but end up looking like a Vietnam Female Gown instead, so I don't look much different from the other people around my school except the fact that I was carrying a helmet!

For my exam in Oct/Nov this year, I planned to wear my upgraded Jedi Costume (gonna add a vest, wider double tabbards & Obi and correct wide belt) on one of the days. The rest of the 2 papers, I'll see what costume I feel like wearing; maybe a Sith Lord on Day 2 and Sevothrathe of the Manga Angel Sanctuary on the last paper. ;)

Heehee, I don't mind if robe comes into fashion again, only that my country is pretty hot so it may get a little too sweaty. :p

    darth maul parachute pants

 What?? His pant is not that parachute. I had seen worse than that while in Sumatra, Indonesia and from seeing the local 1980s variety shows. ;)

Heehee, I wonder if a Jedi will look weird if he wear hakama (kendo pants) instead of the normal one. Who's "on" to try it out? :D

    You said that twice. Why?
