I am looking for a place to download some custom Star Wars Original Trilogy dvd covers. I remember someone posting some homemade ones last year that were huge. Also, looking for custom dvd covers for Star Wars Holidy Special and the Ewoks. if anyone know of a place, i would greatly appreciate it if you would tell me. thanks again!!

Hey I was just wondering. I really love that Episode II DVD cover with the movie poster, but whenever I print it out, it's freaking huge! How do I get it to fit the DVD case exactly?

This information comes from DVD Cover Art.

For Printing out the covers found on this site, I highly recommend using a program such as Adobe Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro (use the links to download demos). A lot of simple picture viewers have issues with images that are >100dpi (the high-resolution images on this site are all 300dpi).

For best results I recommend using a good quality inkjet paper that is slightly thicker than regular paper, and has a brightness of 92 or above. Glossy or matte finish doesn't make a big difference - it depends on which look you prefer. Always print on the highest quality printer setting possible.

The standard DVD cover size is 10.8"x7.25". This presents a problem when trying to print on regular 8.5"x11" paper, because most printers cannot print close enough to the back edge to print the entire cover. The solution is to either a) use 8.5"x14" (legal sized) paper, or b) tape a small 2-3" strip of paper to the end of your 8.5"x11" sheet so your printer can print the entire length of the cover. This "tricks" the printer into thinking the paper is longer. Either way you need to set the print mode to landscape. If you use legal sized paper be sure to set that properly in the print setup option of whatever program you are using.

By the way, if there are any other SW dvd covers that you like on dvdcoverart, you better download them fast, b/c they are fixing to remove them inorder to "maintain a good relationship with the studios. " There are also some SW dvd covers at: www.dvdgreek.com . He even has an episode 3 dvd cover!!

you can see my custom OT DVD covers here.
however, they're made for a DVD set i plan to make myself, as opposed to what i think the SEs/AEs might look like whenever they're released officially on DVD.
    hope you like them.

EDIT: regarding software for printing DVD covers, i use a program called coverXP, which has a number of templates for DVDs, CDs etc. you can get it from cdcovers.cc.
