Anybody else wonder what the Probe Droid in Ep. V says?

I don't know if its just me, But has anyone else interpreted the Probe Droid's verbal communication as "Failure of the Sith" when its on Hoth, moments before Han shoots it? I played it over a few times, and every time I watch it its almost convincing. I did some searching on the topic but nothing comes up. I talked to my friend about it and he could clearly hear it by just listening for it, give it a try and tell me what you think.

To me, that probe droid sounds like it's saying "Fear the descendant".
That's just my opinion. I could be wrong.

Whatever that means.


Maybe you should call Ben Burtt to ask him what the probe droid says.

 

I think he was saying: "I am not the droid you're looking for."

 

Just before the droid retracts its antennae, it sounds something like "We found the base."

 

"V'ger's probe has detected carbon based units infesting the sixth planet of the Hoth system."

 

^ I was going to mention it always sounds like it's saying something about Vader, but I like that explanation better.

It is a "well-known" actor reciting Shakespeare, garbled by Burtt. I just wish they'd reveal what the film or broadcast was, who was speaking and what the lines were. Heh.

Play the probe droid's speech backwards and at 1/4 speed and maybe you'll know.

It's not supposed to be words. As C3PO says, "...it might be an imperial code.", code being the key word. It's just a coded message that sounds like jibberish when heard.

Personally, however, I think the code may have contained the phrase: "There's someone here and they ain't doing Global Warming research. Oh, and by the way, thanks for sending me to this Godforsaken ice-ball of a planet without any antifreeze, ya *******s!! 'Scuse me a minute, got a Wookiee problem."
