Anybody know how to rotoscope WITHOUT photoshop?

    hey guys, if you can rotoscope without adobe or any of those tools, please fill me in.

    There are many tools available to rotoscope DV video. Commotion, Combustion, Shake, Tremor, After effects all have rotoscoping tools.

    If your question means is it possible without any of these tools, the answer is yes. You can rotoscope the traditional way, by printing to film and painting onto the film. This would end up costing much more than purchasing one of the above mentioned applications.

    simple, you get your pic, and create a white core the length of the blade, then create an outline of that white core with whatever color you want the blade ;)

    it would be kinda hard to rotoscope it in paint i think, and it wouldn't look good neither

    You could alway use Paint Shop Pro, to rotoscope.

    If you build a real working lightsaber you don't have to rotoscope at all. I find it much easier than Photoshop.
