I've been in a nostalgic mood lately, so I've been downloading episodes of Exo-Squad on Kazaa. But I found this file called Exosquad.smd, and I don't know what it is. So what do .smd files do?

.smd stands for Super Magic Drive file format. From what I can tell, this format is used by a program called Super Magic Drive, that allows a person to copy cartridge games (from Sega, etc.) to a diskette.

Note: I have no hands on experience with this sort of thing, this is just speculation based on information I read on the internet.

    Hope this helps! :)

If the discussion is moving onto emulators I suggets it might be prudent to take this to games.

Come on... Do you want a brand new thread started just so that I can answer one simple question? Let me just take care of it on this one :)

Saint, the BEST Genesis emu out there is Gens. Can't go wrong with it :)
