Classic, classic, action film based on the real life escape of POWs from a German prison camp isolated outside of Germany

Who could forget Steve McQueen's memorable performance as "The Cooler King" Virgil Hilts?

The Film rocks. the film sucks.

I saw it recently. It was overly long, and had terrible pacing. I found myself doing other stuff, like cleaning and laundry, and generally not paying attention, while the film was on. It was that boring.

Flawed, too. I can't imagine a prison camp that would treat its inmates that well...I remember liking Charles Bronson's character in the movie, but before I knew it, the film was over, and nearly 3 hours of my life was wasted.

The film sucks.

Yes! Its become a tradition of mine to watch it during my exams.

 

Aside the fact that it's INCREDIBLY historicly inaccurate....

 

That movie kicks ass. Steve McQueen kicks ass. That motorcycle jump kicked ass. The little tunnel system kicked ass.

Kick ass.
