Anyone remember hearing anything in 2000 about N'sync being in AOTC?

ok...i know the guy who tosses a lightsaber to Obi-Wan and Anakin during the battle in the arena is from N'sync.....does anyone else remember hearing the rumor that all of them would be in AOTC?...i remember i swore i would boycott the movie if they were cast into the movie ...but eventually i forgot about it ....that is until i saw one of them in the movie......it doesn't really bother me anymore......just want to know if anyone else remembers that rumor....oh yeah..... are any other N'syncers in AOTC?

No. There are no N*suckers in AOTC. Not that I personally would have known, but there are plenty of people here that would have slit their wrists if there had been. Alas, the member count never decreased.

Sorry, but that was not Lance Bass. I know of the scene you're talking about, and it is in the final film only it is flipped. No one from N'sync was EVER filmed for anything related to Star Wars. They visited Skywalker Ranch one day just to see what was going on, that was it. Someone heard of their visit and decided to create this big old story about it to give the bashers something else to complain about. End of story.

 

thanks for the answers y'all....not to contradict anything anyone has said but i swear that when Anakin and Obi are on the Reek in the arena, right after the jedi/clones crash the party, there are 2 guys who toss lightsabers to our heroes and i think the one on the right is chris kirkpatrick from n'sync....he has dark hair...with a goatee.....maybe a ponytail too...i'll have to go home and watch but it really does look like him......he's the one from n'sync that always has like braids or dredlocks...really funky hair...and i believe you guys too, except at theforce.net under episode II hidden images it lists n'sync as being in the film....so .....i don't know who to believe now!!

Well, TheForce.net hasn't updated anything in Attack of the Clones page ever since the movie came out. Take a look at the character page. It still lists characters that were never in the film, such as Aurra Sing and Captain Ambu Fett.

I remember the time when that rumor of N'Sync came about. I remember reading posts about how GL had sold out and how they'd rather skip the entire movie and say good riddence to Star Wars forever, even if they only appeared for less than 30 seconds. It was pathetic

 

3 members of my favorite band were in the background of the scean where they were in the arena.it was lance,jc,and chris. so joey and justin were left out of the fun.

hahaha i remember when that rumor first started. everybody (including myself) was going nuts. i was furious at the mere thought

 

If N'Sync is in AOTC then they are probably in the Coruscant scenes,maybe they are among the extras that are walking on the ground level when Anakin is chasing Zam Wessell before she ends up at the Outlander Club,or maybe they are somewhere in the bar,try playing the DVD in Slow Motion to see if you can spot them there.

 

N'sync is not in AOTC, period.

 

Man, am I glad that N*SYNC wasn't in AOTC. I like N*SYNC and I LOVE Star Wars but you put the two of them together and it's beyond corny!

 

The original thread about N'Sync making a cameo in AOTC was deleted. The night that was announced, this forum went into an uproar. It hadn't seen so much action since the previous summer when the title was announced.

Poor Sebulba-X was about the only mod working that night. Keeping control was just impossible. So many trollish threads popped up.

Ugh. What a horrid memory that was. Thankfully, it was later confirmed that none of the members of N'Sync shot any sort of scene for AOTC. They just stopped by for a visit. Much like Eddie Izzard recently did for Episode III.

Yes and now there are reports the Eddie Izzard is playing a part in III!! It's really sad that misinformation gets spread like that. Someone decides to make something up and then hands the false information over to someone else and before you know it things that aren't true are all over the place. One way to curb that type of thing is to not believe everything you read until you see it confirmed over at the OS or at TF.N. Just because there's a headline that says "NSYNC to play roll in Episode II" doesn't mean it's true. Don't be so damn gullible people!!

I wouldn't have cared as long as they were just passer-by's or random Jedi in the arena or something. Who cares?

 

The last I heard Rick McCallum said there scenes were filmed but cut out.

Since I don't exactly pay much attention to how N'Sync look, can you please post some screenshots of the jedi in question (the ones tossing the sabers, and the one in the final trailer) along with pics of the N'Sync band.

If we can get screenshots, we'll end this debate once and for all.

 

Depending on who you ask, the story is always different. I remember it being said that they did film a scene, but due to contractual agreements with their record label, they legally could not appear in the movie. I also heard a sound clip from one of the members, Joey, I think, that they shot the scene but the fans were so pissed that they cut it out. I think McCallum said it was cut too, but I don't remember if he gave a reason why.

Anyways, the point is, both people from N'Sync and people from SW confirmed they were not in the movie. So how much more confirmation do you need?

 

No screenshots are needed. No one from N'sync is, was, or ever was gonna be in AOTC.
