AOTC worst picture nominee IGN awards?

This defies logic. I can see how some can be turned off by parts of the film, but nominated as worst picture? The IGN anti-awards praises the film in other catergories but slaps the film in the face by nominating it for worst picture. I don't know about anyone else but when I don't like a film, there is nothing about it I would think of complimenting or praise.

I think, if that is true, that it is totally insane. What would posess ANYONE to think AOTC is the WORST PICTURE of 2002, when there are films like "Jackass: The Movie" and "The Hot Chick" that are unleashed upon an unsuspecting public? They just feel the need to pick on something high-profile to draw attention to their pathetic awards. Just because Star Wars is a bit too quaint and clunky for current tastes DOES NOT make it bad. I think that quaintness adds character to Star Wars.

And believe me buddy, Star Wars hasn't become too "quaint" for people's taste nowadays. I mean, everyone still digs the original trilogy. The reason why Star Wars has suddenly got a bad rep recently is because the prequels are seriously bad movies.

They say that they want to be different from the Razzies but they do the same thing and trash AOTC and Die Another Day too. I voted for all the things AOTC was up for and then voted for other movies that will not will.

Spider-Man for best picture. What are they thinking? It should have been on the worst list.

Yeah there have been much worse pictures this year. I could see if it wa most dissappointing film of the year, which implies high expectations, but worst film of the year is a bit excessive.

To me, AOTC IS the most disappointing movie of last year.

The WORST one I saw might be either Time Machine or Queen of the Damned, two tedious misfires of cinematic excrement. I steered clear of the obvious disasters like Swept Away and the Britney Spears flick.

 

Hopefully one of of these cinematic divebombs will be nominated too, and win!

Jesus Christ could return to Earth in the Second Coming, gather everyone around for his big speech and start off with "AOTC was the worst film of 2002!" and I STILL wouldn't pay any attention or change my mind.

 

I don't think AOTC was anywhere near the worst picture of 2002. If we go by the bigger budget releases, I would say xXx was by far the worst picture.

 

Well, IGN's opinion is pretty worthless. I mean, these are the same people who thought DoA2:HC was a better game than Tekken Tag Tournament because the girl's in Tekken were "homely." (their words, not mine.)

...Well that mighjt not make a lot of sense to non-videogame geeks but...Oh well.

The point is, they have lousy tastes.

Why are they just doing this? 2002 has been over for a while.

 

All true SW fans get on there and vote for the positive noms that you agree with. If It wins a few then we can laugh at them even more for putting AOTC in that worst film category.

Also, I am definetely e-mailing them to express my opinions on it as well.

 

Because much like the oscars they have to wait for the year to be over to judge the whole year.

 

This does annoy me about the Oscars. They show an obvious sway to more recent films simply because they are fresher in the mind. This is very unprofessional.
