I just got to the part in KOTOR II were you can find out about Visa's past and the game implies that she's the sole surviving Miraluka after her master destroyed there planet. But IIRC the RPG sourcebook?s "Power of the Jedi" and "Ultimate Alien Anthology" don't mention any of this. They also reference the fact that they held a lot of positions in the Old Jedi Order while KOTOR II makes it seem like they were very secular. So are the Miraluka extinct or was only one group of them destroyed?

Their homeworld was destroyed, so all of the "native" Miraluka were dead. However, it's a big galaxy, and most planets have a HUGE mix of species on them. There are millions, if not billions, of planets in the SW galaxy, most of which support life. So the chances of there being Miraluka survivors somewhere out there is very good.

Nope, the proper Miralukan homeworld is *Alpheridies*, not Katarr, which was only a colony world. Roughly the same sector, though. The game took some pains to distinguish Katarr's status as a Miralukan outpost, of which Visas was the only survivor.

The NEGTC (I believe it is) mentions the Miralukans as having survived into the movie era, albeit persecuted under Palpatine's rule.

As of Before the Storm, there were 60,000 Alderaanian-class citizens. Considering their planetary background was exploration and colonisings.

A devastated planet doesn't mean actual genocide unless specifically said so. Barab, N'zoth, Cathar have been called "devastated" in the most loosest terms.

True, Excellence, but the novels have made it pretty clear that the Yevethans (natives of N'Zoth) are extinct. They were wiped out because they refused help due to their xenophobia.

As far as I know, it sounds like the Miraluka are still around after the fall of the Galactic Empire...

All life on Katarr was eradicated.

Although the Cathar are largely considered to have gotten "genocided" by the Mandalorians, per the first Knights. There were only a few evac ships launched, and the few remaining Cathar wouldn't be biologically viable enough to jumpstart their species anew.

I really hope that this race is not extinct, as I enjoyed reading about them in the TOTJ era. Hopefully they can get a mention in the post NJO novels?
