Hi everyone. I have a 5 star wars cards that I'm trying to find some info on. They are 5 24k gold cards that say star wars trilogy on there cases. ill list the ones i have.

3 spirits of jedi #78/1000 has ben kenobi, yoda and anakin skywalker on it
luke skywalker vs boba fett #100/1000
    darth vader unmasked #97/1000
    r2d2-3cp0 #93/1,997
    jabba the hutt's throne #124/1000

They say on the back of each card that they are part of a 5 card set. there from 1997. Is this set of 5 cards worth anything? Cant seem to find any information on them on the web.

Not trying to convince anyone to buy them. just wondering if they have any value. Dont plan on selling them. I know something is worth what u can convince someone to buy them for. Are you saying there worth nothing?

Best bet is to look them up on ebay and see if any sold recently. If not, maybe fire off an email or letter to Sansweet and ask him.

About a year ago I bought a gold SW card off of ebay. I need to dig it up, but I believe it was of one of the movie posters. I think I paid a grand total of $1.24 for it, before shipping.

I know what you have as I have one of these. They were produced by Authentic Images. They are 24K gold and come encased in acrylic with a padded case. Mine is loose so I don't have the padded case. The sets that were produced were mostly limited to 1000 each but there was one run of 1997. Here's the rundown with all prices in US dollars. The info is from SW Super Collectors Wishbook 3rd edition (2005).

ANH (5 different images, limited to 1997 each). All have a price of 85.00 US
Ben Kenobi, Darth Vader, Han and Jabba, Leia and Vader, Luke.

ESB - limited to 1000 each, same price.
Boba Fett, Darth Vader, Palpatine, Luke, Yoda.

    I have the Fett one.

RoTJ - limited to 1000 each, same price as above.
Vader Unmasked, Droids, Jabba's Court, Jedi Spirits, Luke vs Boba Fett

In addition, there was a 24k gold ingot image limited to 5000 of the Trilogy Movie Poster. Price on that is 170.00 US.

Note - I'm not sure on your Droids one. My book lists it under RoTJ with an edition of 1000.

Score Board also did gold cards. They were in limited to 10,000. They are engraved and the pics of them don't show them encased in acrylic.

Hey thanks allot everyone for the info. Yea they are authentic images cards from 1997. the one with the different production amount i thought was kind of weird to. They all say set of five one the back though. maybe they just made more of that one card (bigger demand for c-3po and r2-d2 maybe?). There all just like a etching in a gold card. Ive had them since '97 when they came out. Don't remember what i paid though the receipts that i had in the cases all faded away.

    speaking of value.
I am selling my costumes and props and I was wondering is there a
better place to sell these than Ebay? maybe a fan sight?
    thanks

The Rebelscum forums have a classified section. You have to register to post but it's free. Since you have costumes you might want to ask in our Cosstuming and Props forum as well.

Ah! forgive me I meant pretty much everything is going!
from the 12 inch figures to the mini's and the ships and
    my costumes and props
I already have sold a few items to the costumers from the PM's and EBAY links.
but I meant sights that will post my ~collectables~ for what I think
there worth. I mean, I have a few items I thought are rare and when I post them
on Ebay nobody even bids yet I had 464 views? so I know people are interested.
Like photo prints from the new releases etc.

As for collecting, I think my days are unfortunately over. With a bad economy and
an OK new series. It just doesn;t hold the same for me. Sorry if that offends people
here. It's more of a sad day for me since I have had many of these treasures for over
    20 years.
Like my star wars lunch box, it's NM and has the thermos with an extra Empire thermos.
    what is that worth?
Also I looked on Ebay and was depressed at how much the Kenner 12 inch
line is listing for. 5$ for a figure I payed at FAO SHWARTZ for around 49$ back in the early
    90's ugh!
SHips aren't going for much either, so is it that all the collectors have the same thing I have and I should just let it go on Ebay for the prices listed?

anyways, I know I don't post or respond much, but I do come in here once and while and read th post's and like the community. So I don't want to list things and say " Hey ! look what I got PM me!" I'm not.. I just don't understand why Ebay seems to be the worst place to sell things nowadays and I ''really'' hope there are places the FANS are buying at still.
THanks for the advice it's always appreciated.

You need to remember that everyone is in the same type of situation as you are. Everyone is dealing with the crappy economy and interest just is not high for the new series. It comes down to deciding on taking a big hit on the stuff or holding on to it hoping interest will peak again at some point.
