In high school, it's almost impossible for a "good guy" to get a girl because most HS girls want a "bad boy". You're then led to believe that girls mature by the time they reach college. But even then, you find out that you're too "goody-goody", too "nice", and not "bad" enough!

What's wrong with being GOOD?!

    stupid rebles without a cause...

No! My older threads were about me not having girlfriends! This thread is about how sucky girls are for NOT being my girlfriends!

    There's a difference. ;)

    Boys DON'T suck!

Well, they could, but let's not go there. ;)

Why must it be so hard to find a girl that likes good guys?!

[Homer] "Why must I fail at everything I try at?!" :_| (or something like that :p) [/Homer]

    EDIT:

Stupid BOBAFETISH already went there.

Going after bad boys isn't bit shallow? Because obivious you go after their looks and not personality.

Of course there is nothing wrong being shallow... :p

I'm still wondering why girls go after bad boys and not Valyn he's such a wonderfull guy...

Free cookie for anyone who can find the sarcasm :p

I know exactly what you mean, Valyn. Girls always say they want the nice guy, the sweet guy. But they never ever go for that! They always go for the bad guys. They like guys that gel their hair into spikes and colour it. They like guys that wear expensive trendy clothes. They go for guys that are arrogant, false, dishonest little ***** who exist for the sole purpose of impressing their friends. I don't fit into that mold, so i don't get girls.

I think that either a girl, or a boy could really suck. When you said girls want bad boys, that can be true to a point, number one. Girls don't want all nice boy's they want to date a man for sticking up for himself and being cool about it at the same time.

You know where I'm going with this man?

Actually, my latest interest (who's now just my friend [face_plain] ) says that she likes the whole rebellious personality they have. She likes that they don't care about anything or anyone, stuff like that.

Kaine: It kinda' makes you see why guys turn to homosexuality, huh?

Thats why i have Hugh Jackman here, keeping me busy!

So yeah... girls are attracted to big time arrogant jerks, and they wonder why they get hurt all the time?? They have the cheek to complain that all guys are dogs, but they're only attracted to the dogs.

    I'm not a wuss, if that's what you're implying! ;)

I'm a rather assertive individual. I stick up for myself and berate others when the need (or urge) arises. ;)

The friend I mentioned knows this, too. I'm even teaching her Kung Fu and how to wield the nunchaku, so I doubt she thinks I'm wussy. She just doesn't like "clean" guys, y'know?

    She called me "preppy"!

Nope, I'm not calling you a wuss, I'm just giving you the facts man. At least that's what I think they feel, I'm not a girl so I wouldn't know. ;)

She called you preppy? Well did she actually break up with you or did she just call you that name?

    Do you have perfect posture?

For some reason that is a total turn-off for me.

We haven't been dating, so there's been no break up. I wanted to clarify where we stood with one another on Tuesday after our work out, and that's when all the "I'm only into 'bad boys'" thing was unveiled. She did however admit that she was perhaps looking for trouble by indulging such a desire.

Maybe I could persuade her to joining the light side... [face_devil] --err, I mean, O:)

    EDIT:

    Odd how we have a face_devil but not a face_angel, isn't it? :p

The: "Do you have perfect posture?"

Actually, she said that I don't lean right. :(

I can't speak for all girls here, but as far as "bad boys" go, I don't go for the rebellious, indifferent type. Yet, I cannot stand guys who tuck in their shirts, and have perfect posture, perfectly ironed clothes, perfectly fitted pants. Somehow I claim I love geeks. I'm confusing myself.

Anyway, my point was that maybe it's just you appearing clean-cut that she doesn't like.

    ???

Or maybe she goes for bad rotten guys like you said.

Sometimes women suck and that's because they don't know what they bloody want. It's like Jean said in X-2: "girls flirt with the dangerous guy, but they take home the good guy". B.S. Is that what happens? Hell no! They take home the bad guy and the good guy is left twisting in the wind. Good guys are preferred as "friends" (possibly the dirtiest, foulest word a girl can say to a guy smitten with her) while the dangerous, scummy and -- more often than not -- "better-physical-specimen" of a guy is preffered as the boyfriend.

And what happens when the scumbag dumps, mistreats or otherwise jerks her around? You know what happens: they come running to the "friend", yeah. All teary eyed and wailing "why don't he love me?" or "what did I do wrong?" or some other idiotic crap, looking for some comfort from the guy that'll be nothing more than a friend and confidant. And after her tirade's over she'll go back to the guy or find someone else just as bad and repeat the same stupid cycle, but you'll always be her friend because, what the hell, it's better to have her as a friend than not having her at all, right? Right? [face_plain]

It sucks. It sucks mightily. It sucks to the point where I've nearly given up on women. But never to the point, Valyn m'lad, of threading to the "other side". ;)

I guess it's all a matter of being patient. Of course, we men suck at patience. And loneliness is a b!+@# to deal with sometimes. That and our always active hormones. But sometimes looking too hard -- and more often than not, too desperately -- leads to failure and then we find ourselves here, ranting to the top of our lungs "How Women Suck!" :p

If they don't care about anything, they won't care about their girlfriend, bah this is confusing me :(

My guess is that she goes for that because it's like if they don't care about anything, but he wants to see her, she feels she must be that special. She'd better take her chances. Maybe she could change his ways. And that other nice guy will still be there when she needs him. So he can wait, unless some other bad boy comes around for her.

Once again, I am guessing like a guessing fool.

I'm sorry it's 1:30 am here. Not entirely lucid, the brain is.

But I dress casually and with variety! Sometimes I'd wear baggy jeans, sometimes I'd wear--okay, preppy-like outfits, maybe, but I hardly ever tuck in my shirt!

"Anyway, my point was that maybe it's just you appearing clean-cut that she doesn't like."

She did say that she was into guys that look like vampires.

Invid: ...more often than not -- "better-physical-specimen" of a guy is preffered as the boyfriend.

I'm frickin' hot! I work out 3-4 times a week, each session for about 2 hours! I've got the bod--and girls at work admit!

But, to most girls (apparently), the formula for success is as follows:
Good bod + bad personality = sexy

    Whereas:
Good bod + good personality = friendly

"And after her tirade's over she'll go back to the guy or find someone else just as bad and repeat the same stupid cycle, but you'll always be her friend because, what the hell, it's better to have her as a friend than not having her at all, right? Right?"

That is so right on that it's scary. :(

It sucks. It sucks mightily. It sucks to the point where I've nearly given up on women. But never to the point, Valyn m'lad, of threading to the "other side".

Don't dis it 'til you try it, I always say! :D

    :p

I heard/read once that girls like the troubled guys because they believe they can find the "inner goodness" in those guys and change him to be good. *rolls eyes*

And that's pretty intriguing what you said about those girls probably feeling special when with a guy who doesn't care about most things.
