I am not sure if this is the proper place for this thread, but I'll ask anyway. Does anyone know if the Star Wars alphabet, known as the Aurabesh, include numbers. I know it has letters and punctuation marks, but are there number?

According to this link, there are numbers and they look very similar to our own. According to this other link however, the creator of Aurebesh never added numbers to his font.

By the way, the signs of the Podracers were intended as numbers, too (at least the "Ask the Jedi Council" series at www.starwars.com says so).

Cool.... I went to that link and found the Aurebesh fonts. I saw the numbers and they will do for what I needed it for. So thanks for all the info.

I'm glad someone asked this cause I'm working on a costume with Aurabesh letters on it and didn't know all those 2 letter symbols existed. I can also add those nifty words beneath the symbols to my information database. See I've been doing a test stripe for the pants (note: I'm taking a bit of artistic liberty to make the words more visual)

    Thanks a lot. :)

Does anyone know if Aurabesh was based on any earth alphabet? It would help with as Stargate/SW crossover I would like to do.

I've heard that it was just a mixture of a lot of different alphabets, and thensome of it was just inspiration.

I don't know of any.. but here's something intersting.

In the Sci-Fi mini-series "Children of Dune", when Alia is looking out with a binocular type device the symbols inside the view are Aurabesh.

Though I'm sure it's an easter egg.. I found it interesting

    btw, it said:

    Chris Zapara
    Area 51
    Bite Mei

I think, the "Technical Commentaries" have an article about Aurabesh (or Aurebesh) in general.

It is supposedly based off of the old Norse alphabet. So, I suppose you could make a crossover with it. Maybe.
