Average Joe 2 Finale

You gotta feel bad for that Brian Worth guy.
I mean his heart was smashed to bits.

Not too mention his beloved Red Sox and favorite player Tim Wakefield helped send the Yanks to the World Series pretty much around the time of the taping of the finale.

And what gives with that heartless wench dating Fabio?

Even stranger, what the hell was that guy Gil's problem?

Would you walk away from a relationship or treat someone you had feelings for like crap simply because they dated Fabio?

are there some sort of rumors about fabio that i didn't know about because i don't really keep up on pop culture? because, otherwise, that was just crazy.

 

I didn't watch a single episode of the show until last night when I watched the final half hour. That was the worst 30 minutes of TV ever. Although, I did feel bad for the guy from Boston. The whole "shocking" twist including Fabio was the lamest thing ever.

I agree. It was like the dumbest thing ever. The average joe show is pointless since the girl always gos for the hunk.

 

That totally illustrates the difference between a guy with confidence and one who masks his insecurities with an ego. The problem with Gil is that he never said what the problem was when it was totally obvious that he was insecure having to follow up Fabio. It he had testicular fortitude at all, he'd have stayed with her and been bragging that he was dating a girl that used to date Fabio. I guarantee you Brian wouldn't have cared.

My co-worker just told me that Gil and Larissa were getting interviewed by Matt Laur(sp?) this morning and that the show made it seem like he was pissed about Fabio.

He said it wasn't like that at all and that they even left the island together and are still dating.

 

I kinda thought that the show would end with her going back to Brian Worth.

That's what I thought too. And I was hoping he'd blow her off, though he never would have.

Not surprising. There's no way he'd blow off a chance at some exposure since he wants to be an actor and all. I'm sure he's just along for the free promotion. After it's over, he'll drop her like a bad habit.

It gave the impression that they were only together for the publicity, especially since they didn't really look comfortable together.

 

This was the most confusing ending in the history of television. She picked a guy who she really didn't seem to be hitting it off with and then he dumps her because she dated Fabio?? I mean, it's not like she dated Ron Jeremy, Michael Jackson, Tommy Lee or any other guy that you'd never even think about bringing home ...it was only Fabio. Fabio is actually a cool dude, he's funny as hell whenever he's on Howard Stern. He had a successful modeling gig, which is tough for a guy to pull off. I don't see why it was so bad ...Gil acted like she said she used to be a man. Meanwhile, Brian was going to kill himself ...which is where the good TV was.
While Larisa was talking to Brian, Gil should've tapped on the window of the plane and given Brian the finger through the glass ...that would've been great TV.

The real winner? FABIO!! Fabio was probably watching the entire thing saying "been there, done that, and kick it to the curb".
Fabio is my new hero.

They hooked me in, thinking maybe the Average joe had a chance but no more! I will not watch this show anymore.

It's funny to me that she choose the guy who was emotionally blocked. She kept on saying, "intriguing." Well, it shows that for this women, if you a nice looking and have some mystery, she will forgo substance for mystery. She had a "Let's make a deal" moment; you can take home the new car or what's in the box?

Irk 1: The producers of the show, or whoever does the editing, devoted so much of the episode to the "Average Joe"'s date that you knew they were trying to set it up as a "surprise" when she picked the other guy. Had they given equal time to both final dates, I think it would have been more of a mystery, and you might have seen more evidence of a connection between the girl and the "hot" guy.

Irk 2: They brought in the guys in the same order as the first "Average Joe", if I'm not mistaken. In case you hadn't already figured it out based on the content of the entire episode up to that point, you knew by the time the guy was walking down the carpet.

Irk 3: They made a big deal about the "final twist" being "something in her past". But instead of something potentially troubling - like a career in porn - it turns out she has a famous ex-boyfriend? What the...???

Irk 4: What was supposed to be the big deal about Fabio anyway? Too manly? Too girly? WHAT???

The worst part was after she dumped Brian and they hugged. You could hear his heartbeat on the lapel mic and it had that fast and erratic pounding that anyone who has been dumped knows. You're trying to maintain some composure, but your heart is doing flip-flops and is about to pound out of your chest.

 

Yeah, I was wondering whose that was, or if it was maybe both their hearts beating.

Without seeing the show, or reading this thread, I'm guessing that the wench chose the hot guy with no content over the "Average Joe" in which she found everything she was wanting in a man, whether she would admit that fact or not?

 

I'm guessing this was a fox show and anyone who grew any attachement to it deserved what they got when it's participents turned out to be shallower then parking lot puddles.

 

Yep. She may be hot, but she needs to get over Fabio like the rest of the world has.

 

Actually it was an NBC show and I blame WWE Raw for sucking so badly that it made me change channels and get hooked on this stupid show.
