Awesome PT Banner!!! Submit and discuss PT banners here...

As has been the case in several other forums, the PT mods would like to open up ongoing submissions for new banners. We would like to work with banner artists to come up with good designs that we can then rotate every few days. Banners can incorporate imagery from all three PT films, they can focus on a character (e.g. Anakin) or a place (e.g. the Senate Chambers) or other subjects that span the PT. They can also focus on just one film. All banners should say "Prequel Trilogy Forum" and can also include the "Jedi Council Forums, TheForce.Net" thing as well. So any and all banner artists interested in giving things a go, have at it!

 

Can they can have some RotS stuff in them?

 

I think that they can, especially after the merge. I have several ideas for some banners, I might send some your way soon.

 

I really wanted to try to make banners, but I have some stupid program that's not any good at it. I can only make icons with it, so I'll also send in some ideas to this thread.

I grew tired of this banner a long time ago, especially since the classic forum changes all the time, theres no Episode III stuff....and....Obi-Wan looks wierd.

 

I've never really liked that pic of Obi-Wan. Anyway Strilo, can we submit links to banners right in this thread?

 

Of course. ROTS is part of the Prequel Trilogy. Submissions can be linked here or sent via PM if you'd like more private feedback.

 

I just finished an Otah banner now I'm just touching up the stylesheet.

 

I've also just completed a Kamino banner so that should be up in a day or so.

 

Sorry for the triple post but no one else seems to be posting anything. The stylesheets for the Otah and Kamino banners are done. I've also created a Clone War banner which I still have to touch up. Tomorrow I will post all three.

Yep, ROTS pics are allowed in the banners. Thanks for the comments Jennifer_Lyn I'm glad you like them.

Just a note that I added a bit to the original post. I spoke in detail with Stryphe about new banners and we both agree that we want the banners to incorporate imagery from the entire PT, rather than focusing on one film. Just a heads up as to what we are looking for!

He and I have spoken at length about banners and he is waiting for the ROTS DVD so he can do some all inclusive PT banners. No problem!

 

I'll get to work on some banners too, though right now I've been doing a few for the Literature forum.

 

Like Strilo said we talked for a while and I'm really waiting for Nov. 1st so that I can cap the ROTS DVD and have lots of high-quality images to work with. I working on ideas for all-inclusive PT banners right now so look for several banners around Nov. 1st. I really made those other banners incase Strilo and Darth-Stryphe decided that they wanted to incorporate single movie themed banners much like what happens in the CT Forum. Anyway Strilo has made a really cool banner thats now up and the stylesheet is also great, nice work!

It will make a worthy addition to the Jedi Archives.

J_Lyn - I really like the pics you selected for the duels, but I think the monotone blue kind of washes out the excitement of the duels.

 

That's a great post obivacca. Nice banner Jennifer_Lyn but the blue is a bit much I would try toning it down some.

Thanks for those who gave constructive concrit. I'm gonna sit with it for a bit and see what I can do to fix it.
Now that it's all up, it's not working for me either. meh.
