I like how he's a voice mail answering machine on wheels.

 

I really like that he has a human voice. I was expecting another beeping droid so I was pleasantly surprised.

 

The jury's still out for me on him. It's too small a sample size so far, and while I definitely don't dislike him, I'm unsure about the English coming out of an astromech adjacent design. I found myself thinking of TARS from Interstellar.

 

I'll purchase the B2EMO merchandise. Cassian said I had to.

 

Star War's answer to WALL-E......but obviously different at the same time. A great new droid addition to the Star Wars universe. I love how the droid stutters - I think maybe as a response to what seems to be inefficient power supplies.

 

I'm kinda wondering if B2's memory is going to be transferred into K2.

 

He looks like Vincent or Bob from Disney’s The Black Hole:



and he sounds like Max Headroom.

 

Right when B2EMO showed up my 11 year old yelled. "Wall-E!!" LOL

That's what the design reminded me of. If you haven't seen it, The Black Hole (1979) was Disney's attempt to cash in on the success of Star Wars; by creating their own grandiose space opera; it's basically 20,000 Leagues Under the Seas in space with robots. It flopped.

 

Beware of the main theme. I don't remember who composed it, but it should come with an ear worm warning.

 

I like turtles. And I also like this video comparing star sizes.

Fun note: I just so happened to watch a bit of The Black Hole on Tuesday night while waiting for Andor to drop.

 

I’m not sure about this guy. The stammering brought back memories of ‘biddi, biddi, biddi’. Twiggy? Tweeki? That robot from Buck Rogers.

No, I am taking too much credit for the WALL-E comparison. My wife was the first one who mentioned a similarity and I thought, yeah I agree, I can see that too. But I did think the scrap yard was very "WALL-E like"; as well as looking abit like Corelli's too.

 

That was one of the things I liked about him.

 

B2-EMO's voice has a certain K-2SO sound to it in its annunciation...

Really noticeable in Episode 2.

B2 is adorable. I like his slow nature - a bit different to the hyperactivity of BB8.

 

When he said something was "a bad idea" in a very k2 voice, I immediately started thinking that as well...

 

Yeah I love this little guy! I laughed at loud in episode 1 when he was repeating what Maarva said about Cassian ruining his health and reputation with friends of low character. Amusing enough but it's primary purpose seems to be to dispense exactly what is needed at the time. Does it have a Star Trek style replicator inside?

 

A wonderful new addition to the mythos. Love his slight stuttering, adds to how real he is.

Once I saw the yellow wheel hub, I knew it was Star Wars!!!

 

That might be the general reason why people in the GFFA have droids. To dispense what they need when they need it.
