"At least it's not as bad as me twitching my lip sardonically," I counter. :p

Seriously though, I just checked two dictionaries; no luck with either. Sorry.

Barves are 6 legged creatures first mentioned in "A Barve like that" in Tales from Jabba's Palace.

I'm not sure if they have been mentioned outside of TJP, and BHW though?

    CUSWE:
    Barve
a six-legged creature. A famous joke involves a five-legged barve - one had been amputated - being discovered by a sentient named JoJo. The barve's owner tells JoJo that the barve can talk, drive a speeder, and babysit his children. When JoJo asks why one of its legs has been amputated, the owner replies "Well, you can't eat a barve like that all at once." (TJP)

basically the barve of this joke replaces the earth joke about the pig with one leg...
from the context, a barve is understood to be a creature commonly used as food.

It was a word, as the myths whisper, that was used quite a bit in The Mandalorian War, wasn't it?

And such repetitious usage was allowed to happen?

Kuat of Kuat of Kuat Drive Yards orbiting the planet Kuat which is in the Kuat System :p

This reminds me of Zahn's fondness of the word twitch. He used it so many times in Vision Of The Future(which otherwise was a damn good book, IMO)that I had a brain-twitch towards the end...

Zahn also loved the non-sensical phrase "a flicker of psuedo-motion". Not to mention his fondness for mentally crossing one's fingers. ;)

I wonder if Zahn got over twitches, flicker of pseudomotion, and mentally crossed fingers :p There were none in his three-part Clone Wars story published in Insider#68-69-70. But we can't be sure until we see Survivor's Quest :)
