Bat in the Sun Fan Films

Hey all, just figured I'd post a heads-up that the folks over at Bat in the Sun Productions finally put all of their fan films online...this includes "Batman Beyond: Year One" which has previously only been available on a DVD.

They've got 3 Bat films in total, all of which are pretty fun to watch. Visually they are really good for their low-budget level. Acting is par for a fan production. Music's usually pretty fitting, though simple for the most part.

Batman Beyond: Year One is the first one the guys made a few years back, like 40 minutes or so of Batman Beyond. Interesting ideas, cool to see Batman Beyond realized on film. Not the best of stories in my opinion, but hey it's something.

Dark Justice was his short, with Bruce Wayne Batman and Commisioner Gordon. Visually this film is great. It's only like 10 minutes of Batman kicking some criminal tail.

Patient J is the latest one, pretty new. It's this whole interrogation of the Joker by a psychologist, and it delves into a lot of great Joker/Batman moments from the comics, which are visually captured quite well. The guy playing Joker is decent, sometimes he's really on, and other times he seems to be going for that craziness of Mark Hamill's vocal performance and not quite getting there. Still worth watching if you have a half hour to kill. Or half an hour of watching Joker kill.

If you haven't seen them yet, I'd say check em out. I myself would not put them on par with Sandy Collora's films or "Grayson," but they are still pretty good, and usually just fun to watch.
